Black Horizons (My first attempt at creating a set and lore)
I am creating my first attempt at a card set as well as the lore to accompany it. My goal is to release more of the story as well as cards as I go. Let me know what you think and if you would like me to continue posting the story here.
Jace stirred in his bed, as if tormented by his dreams. Then he awakened ubruptly. This had become a common occurance for him in the last few months. The same horrific dream seemed to find its way into his slumbers each night. He wondered if this was to be an omen, but what he saw had happened previously.
Jace had returned to Virin after the catastrophic events of the eldrazi. Although no longer concidered his home, he hoped to find some rest as did many of the others sworn into the gatewatch.
Sweat began to drip from his forehead but evaporated as he grew aware of it. The sun was already high into the midmorning summer sky.
Jace got up and emerged from his chambers. Lili had already been up for some time as she slept little during the night. "How did you sleep" she asked, with a genuine look upon her face. This was the closest to a smile that Lili ever had aside from when she was with their daughter.
"Another dream from your homeworld" he replied. "Every night the premonition is clearer, but the meaning still evades me. If any approximation of what I see is to be truly inevitable, I fear for the world we have brought Kayana into."
