Circuit contest 4.5 (Mini-contest): Utopia Sprawl
Hey guys - I'm coming to you today with a so-called mini-contest, while we wait for me and my judges on the monthly contest to proceed in our judgings on the monthly contest.
Why do I call it a mini-contest? Well, because it is small and compact, unlike my regular contests, some things are changed, and different things are in play:
Only one card per contestant.
Simple contests. Generally will be altering or somehow adding upon a pre-existing card.
Old rules that still count:
Make only new cards.
Only serious cards with serious art.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So what am I supposed to do this time around?
Make a variation of Utopia Sprawl! By that, I mean a one mana enchantment that ramps (Doesn't have to be a land enchantment, but no "creature" involved, please). I may have been unclear here - What I meant with no creature is don't make it an enchantment creature - The enchantment can generate tokens or even enchant a creature, sorry for the confusion.
Utopia Sprawl sees fringe play now and then, namely in things like MonoG devotion that likes the fact that utopia sprawl is harder to get rid of than Noble Hierach and such.
What can you do to make the card more attractive to play in general? What can you do to move it closer to being equally attractive to play as the regular mana dorks?
Right now the card has a few "we like it better" because it is an enchantment where it rarely (very rarely) matters, and the "I can block" that creature ramp offers is more playable.
So basically, make Utopia Sprawl more playable while still keeping it balanced and outside of "4x in every deck"-range - Ideally, try to move it to a 50/50 between this and creature ramp.
Prizes:
1st place: One completely regular circuit point. (
2nd place: Three mini-circuit points!
3rd place: Two mini-circuit points!
4th place: One mini-circuit points!
What's a mini-circuit point?
A mini-circuit point is worth 25% of a regular circuit point - Gather four and I will add a regular point to your current total
These are meant as a way to make the mini-contests less consequential than the regular contests, while also allowing me to give out reasonable rewards to each winner.
Why the mini-contests?
Oftentimes, real-wordly responsibilities get in the way of me keeping proper upkeep on an actual circuit contest. So I had a few options - Do I just not make circuit contests in that time period or do I find another way to do them?
Well, this is it. The mini-contests will replace regular contests now and then when I don't have the time to do a regular contest justice. The mini-contests will be shorter, less cards to judge, while still keeping the circuit cycle on rails.
Godspeed!

Jeskai and Ojutai decks may thank me cause this is based on casting spells with Rebound, or using Narset to exile a bunch of noncreatures, cast from your hand with Morning Thaw, and then use Narset's exiled stuff. We non green players deserve some mana ramp lol
Circuit contests of all kinds other than monthly ones always last 7-9, you can read further in some of the older circuit posts

I realize I may have had a vague section in the rules, so I am just making sure you're all getting this message:
Rule "update": Make a variation of Utopia Sprawl! By that, I mean a one mana enchantment that ramps (Doesn't have to be a land enchantment, but no "creature" involved, please). I may have been unclear here - What I meant with "no creature" is don't make it an enchantment creature - The enchantment can generate tokens or even enchant a creature, sorry for the confusion.
Feel free to remake your entries if this changes what you wanted to do.
Thanks for the clarification.

It is a one mana enchantment, but it needs to pay {1} once.

Not sure if the life loss should be 1 or 2 life. Feedback appreciated.
Updated form of Morning Thaw: It can't be broken with Serum powder now...

Blooming Jungle
Rather than:
Oran-Rief Reserves
I like them both but I feel that Blooming Jungle is more versatile.
@DomriKade
Sorry about the delay on judgings - I've been scripting the cards to make them functional in a simulator, in order to gauge the impact some of them would have on the game with real scenarios and games to work with.
I imagine I'll be done with playtesting around Friday
