The number of entries are more than I expected. I haven done 25 contests before, but this became the third most viewed thread among all of them, in only one week! I'm glad that I did set the deadline that short.. This contest was very hard to judge!
I think the biggest thing we need to care about when we design one mana counter spell is "what if it was used in eternal format." In the game that the action of turn 1, 2, 3 decide the winner of the game, usefulness of the cheap counter spell is very important. Making a useful and cheap counter spell without being overpowered was this contest's challenge. I also got cards with good flavors! So I'll mention some of those cards too!
"Absentmindedness" by @Ravnica aka @milanaarz http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/absentmindedness?list=user ^Cool card that can mess with an opponent's tempo. Some people might say, "... can't cast spells with the same name ..." part makes this card a bit powerful in the late game, but I think it doesn't. In the late game, there's not so much a big point in having that cheap cost. Normal Counterspell {u}{u} just sends a card to a graveyard. And unlike Remand, you can't draw a card. I think this card is a bit underpowered. I might add scry if this was my card.
"Mislead" by @Yururu http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/mislead?list=user ^I really like this card! It goes well with topdeck control, but I feel like the card that the luck makes that big difference in the game is more of a red. And I think it could be "draw a card" instead of scry 2. That doesn't break the power level I think. Still cool though! In casual game deck, I would defiantly have fun with this.
5th place "At all costs" by @CrispyBacon42 http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/at-all-costs-7?list=user ^I like the flavor! Card doesn't seem overpowered to me, but actually I'm not sure. This card can send a lot of cards to your graveyard. I'm not familiar with graveyard matter decks.
- 3rd place! "Foo Me Once" by @Animist http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/fool-me-once-1?list=user ^It's an absolute counter spell with no drawback if the condition is satisfied. It's a good thinking that that concept can make a {u} counter spell. Against combo decks that sends many cards to a graveyard in a single turn, this card is very effective. But except for those games, this wouldn't be a card that you want to keep in your hand from the beginning of the game. Especially in limited, sometimes this card can be completely useless. I feel like I want to add a cycling on this card. But simplicity is one of the cool thing on this card. I'm not sure if I really want to do that. Hahaha :P
- 2nd place!! "Expected Ploy" by @Gelectrode http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/expected-ploy?list=user ^This is a strategic decoy card. Opponent might cast removal spell in response, but you can safely summon a creature that you really don't want to be removed after that. Also, opponent might try to counter this spell, even though you have nothing good in your hand. And it has cantrip, so you don't lose hand advantage in number of cards. It's slightly better than Overmaster, but it is a red card. This card is blue. I think it's ok to be better than Overmaster. Very nice card!
- 1st place!!! "Spell Warp" by @starwars05 http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/spell-warp-4?list=user ^This mechanic is the most creative and fun card in this contest. Opponent's spell becomes other spell. Interesting way to avoid the spell you don't like, and mess up an opponent's plan! I really love this card!
Thanks for your entries everyone! I really really enjoyed this a lot! And sorry if I didn't comment on your card. If someone want my comment on your card, feel free to comment on this thread while it is opened, or reply to any of my comments with your link.
Sorry @Corwinnn I didn't see you update that card. New version is better than the old version! Because old version couldn't counter the spell that is already on the stack in response.

^Nice idea. hahaha! But adding flash to card doesn't cost cheap. I think this card is underpowered. I think this card even can have "Draw a card."

^It looks powerful when I imagine it's put out in early game, but I think it's printable level. It'll be defiantly used in legacy enchantress deck.
