Hybrid card design advice

So, I am really excited to see hybrid borders added to the card editor.

But designing hybrid cards is harder than I realized. For one, it seems I have to be very careful about designing the card with abilities that fit either color it represents. I have made a lot of drafts of different cards, only to struggle with this kind of a lot. Maybe I'm just not used to hybrid style cards yet.

I wonder does anyone have advice on designing hybrid cards? What kind of mistakes should be watched out for? Etc.

    This is where knowing the color pie comes in handy. What abilities "bleed" into other colors, and what functions are viable within the color pie scheme.

    I'm at work right now, and have limited access to resources, but if anyone has a Color Pie link they want to add here, please feel free to do so.

    I think the best thing to do is not think 'I have to make this hybrid'. Think of a card concept, then decide whether its multicolor or hybrid.
