Contraptions!
Hello!
You may have heard that the next block after Shadows Over Innistrad is Kaladesh. In it, Mark Rosewater said that he has solved a long-standing design problem. In addition it is a steampunk themed set, so basically all signs point to Steamflogger Boss.

@captainloafers that seems like something a goblin would do.

So basically not as many people submitted cards as I expected, so I am just going to favorite all the valid entries (Dragon Mech Escapee by @DankSoulsRager and Compressed Machinery by @Fantastic_Fantasy_Cards don't count because they have no relation to contraptions) and there will be no honorable mentions. Sorry.
In 3rd Place...
Battle Armor Rigger by @captainloafers!
I like the flavor of a sort of frenzied engineer throwing and melding (haha) together a bunch of little contraptions to create suits of armor. Good art choice, seems balanced (though I'm no expert on that) and I like the flavor text.
In 2nd Place...
Rushing Medic by @Lujikul!
Same sort of thing here, flavor is nice, great art choice, balanced card, good flavor text (very red though), and also good formatting. Overall great card.
In 1st Place...
Rusted Dinosaur by @milanaarz!
Of all the different ideas for how contraptions work, this one is my favorite. It is a very simple card, which is good because it shows there is enough design space to make simple cards with this mechanic (and it's not hard to imagine more complex and interesting card designs). Anyway, I would totally be satisfied if that is how contraptions worked, because it seems very cool. Also, kudos for thinking out of the box.
Congratulations winners, please tell me which cards you want to have favorited.
Thanks to kltmtg29 for wrapping up this cool challenge!
Can you close it @Corwinnn?
