Let it Grow! Let it Grow! Don't hold it back anymore!
Here is my first competition, and with it; a lot of reading!
Hello Cardsmiths and welcome to my challenge. I was thinking it over a little (Because we all know our best ideas come after 12AM!) and remembered something about LV monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh, and that my favorite monsters from that game happened to be ones that had multiple variations, getting bigger or going through some sort of cycle. From Gigabyte to Gagagigo to Gigagagagigo to Gogiga Gagagigo! Or Inpachi, to Blazing Inpachi, to Charcoal Inpachi to Woodborg Inpachi and so on!
So, this may be a little more complicated than most challenges and perhaps this one has already been done before, (I'm sure it has at some point.) but anyway, here is what I'd like you to do!
-Make three to four cards with a theme, some sort of variation and growing phase.
-Make the card realistic. (By Modern MTG standards anyway. That includes art.) This also means balancing and so on.
Here is my example of this: http://mtgcardsmith.com/user/Shadikal/sets/11254
Now, to make it easier, it doesn't have to have the continuity like with Sandara's Dragons in the set above because it would be fairly difficult to find the same character(s) or whatever you choose to use in multiple separate instances. What is important is the show of growth or a cycle in some way or another. Whether it is the four seasons, a single person rallying a group of people and turning them into an army, or putting the pieces together to create a voltron-esque type thing. whatever floats your boat. Just make sure they get bigger!
Prizes:
1st: Five favorites
2nd: Four favorites
3rd: Three favorites
Honorable mentions: One favorite, from either that Cardsmiths collection or the submitted cards.
End Date: July 10th.
Goodluck!

And here is the Heartsoul Scion token mentioned on Deepwood Heartsoul: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/heartsoul
Hope ya like 'em!
Wow! The whole if you would draw Sunblaze, tuck it into your library and draw again effect is really awesome and I love the way you aren't able to physically cast it from your hand. I wish I had thought of that before! Especially for my Green Dragons!
@ArienStorm
Something about the evolution of Green and looking at how it grows from something as small as a saproling (Just as an example) to a massive Avatar that's just so satisfying.
Good work on the cards guys! Also, still waiting on some other colors to make an appearance! XD

A Mardu grouping, taken in toto. (Two new colors!)
The art for Candlewind Seraph is just adorable, and I really love the transition between Boros Candlewing and Caliadra Fleshfeather, from the color shift to the believable appearance change. As if her candlewings just melted over her body as she lost faith in the Boros Legion. (Though I know that's not what's actually happening in the art.) It really is fantastic. Also, to keep the "Power 5 or greater" from cards A to B, then have card C start with base power 5 really struck me as something pure amazing from an aesthetic/design and flavor perspective.
Yup, @Beeswax is awesome.

Of course, there are bumps along the way.

But keep going and you'll become a slightly less useful Kiora.

"...tapped and attacking..." maybe?
@Lujikul
Good job! All of these have been really good! There's a lot I can learn from everyone here.
