Alara Reshaped
I had always wanted to see the shards of Alara reshaped, but when I did, it underwhelmed me.
The way this contest works is that you make a few cards from your version of Alara:
-one of every color
-one multicolored card
and
-one non-basic land.
There is no limit to the amount of entries per card-smith, so feel free to get creative.
Prizes
The top three sets have all of their cards Favorited and the maker followed.
Honorable mentions get One card of their choice Favorited and followed.
The entries will be judged on the 10th of august, so as always, good luck and happy smithing!

When you say "One card of every colour", you're thinking for a specific shard? (so 3 cards) because working on the 5 different shards is a lot more creative work than focusing on one shard at once ^^
I'm guessing(?) That @RETANPANDA means five monocolors, a multicolor, and a nonbasic land. I'm not 100% sure.
I've designed for only one shard, which is Bant, because reinventing a whole shard is something that takes a lot of work anyway ^^
Here's the set that I will complete bits by bits: http://mtgcardsmith.com/user/ningyounk/sets/12321
In my reshaped version of Alara, the reunification of the five Shards in a single plane have a huge impact on each of them as they must now leave with each other. On Bant, tales and legends about heroes fighting the threats from the other shards start to become an obsession among citizens. An increasing number of them suddendly craves for personal glory and leaves Bant to fight some dragons on Jund, or some demons on Grixis.
And here are my 3 monocoloured cards (it's a vertical cycle featuring the new keyword I designed for Bant, called "Glorious" to match my little story about tales and legends):
Glorious is a mechanic I've designed for my Trabadart set (under another name) so I'd love to have some feedback on it. I've posted a number of questions in "Greyhorn Scorgechaser" comment section about my doubts on this mechanic, if you're interested in reviewing it =D
The multicoloured Bant card and the non-basic Bant-Coloured card will follow soon
