Entire MTG RPG?

@Tomigon and I spent an hour with terrible wifi discussing on the Dragon's Maze RPG.

It was on a "maze" http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/1787/design-the-dragon-s-maze

So, supposedly, with the rules of http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/1795/how-to-play-mtg-dragon-s-maze-rpg-judging-stage/p1 being obsolete and replaced by the rules of @Tomigon and @Corwinnn:

So this is how it goes..

1-Enter the room. Room’s permanents are all taped. Your 2nd main phase starts.
2-Your turn ends. Room’s turn starts.
2-If that room has a spell, flip a coin. If heads, it is cast if able. Its target is chose at random.
3-Creatures chosen at random in that room attack you if able. If a creature is blocked, that creature deals combat damage to the blocking creature with the least toughness.
4-The room’s turn ends.
5-Your turn starts. You may pay {2} and skip your draw step. If you do, choose a card in exile. You may play that card this turn.
6-Your pre-combat main phase starts. You may choose a creature with the greatest cmc in that room. If you do, it is treated as a player. Its life is equal to its cmc.
7-You may attack that creature. If you do, all creatures that room has blocks your creatures chosen at random if able. If you kill that creature, you may choose a card in that room and exile it.
8-Combat step ends. You exit your room. You get X+1 points, where X is creature’s cmc you killed.
9- Exit the room and enter another room. Repeat this process from 1.

Room 1 (Village. Combat doesn’t happen.)

Room 5 (Level 1)
1 Orc Firebug

Room 7 (Level 2)
2 Storm Crow

Room 17 (Level 4)
2 Ruins Chief
1 Lightning Bolt

Room 21 (Level 3)
1 Nature’s Rebirth
1 Ravine Troll

Room 14 – (Artificer’s City. Combat doesn’t happen.)
3 point Sigil of the Nosai
3 point Sigil of the Ryduter
3 point Sigil of the Kilastar
5 point Wingmill
7 point – Steel-Eyed Hunter
8 point – Jexica, Cogmatition
8 point – Solemn Simulacrum
29 point – Arceus's Thopter Factories

Room 28 (Level 5)
1 Mangled Stalker
2 Screeching Harpy
1 From the Shadows

Room 26 (Level 6)
1 Ozone-Flight Drake
2 Angelic Griffin
1 Admonishing

Above rules will be changed a bit.

Well then, I was thinking that what if instead of a RPG like just this dungeon, we could have many dungeons and cities and make a full fledged RPG with like Northgate http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/2039/northgate-a-northern-city-of-gates-obviously#latest

I would have to change and add many more rules. I'd name it... I don't know,

What do you guys think?

Wow! You made this discussion already!? Anyway, those rooms are just examples that I made to explain my idea to you in Untap.in. I ignored all rooms created in your previous contests. So if you put links to all those sets, it's very confusing.

If you raise the example rooms I made, they might want to know what those cards are..
    http://mtgcardsmith.com/user/Tomigon/sets/12382
And a few cards from ForgottenDragon set and Athera set..

And it's nice if you put image of the map again.. we need to know how to decide the power level of rooms. Also I think the map should be changed a bit.
    -------------------------------

Also if you copy my idea like that, these rules are included. Please don't forget:
-Room’s creatures don’t use activated ability. If their triggered ability needs targets, they are all chosen at random.
-If you cast a spell that let your opponent choose something, it is chosen at random.
-All effects that interact with opponent’s life, library, hand, graveyard are ignored.
-Your level is equal to the number of your lands. Each room has its level. If you enter the room with lower level, you can’t draw in your draw step.
-If you play with a team mate, all cards in a room are doubled.
-Basically, intelligent creatures with activated abilities like Humans, Elves, Wizards are in Village, City. Also there are artifacts. You can use your points to bring them with you. You put them to your hand.

    *Level thing is important one.
  • My main idea:

Each player starts somewhere on the large map. They can choose a character with stats and a deck. They can go around trade and do stuff like any normal RPG. After all, all RPG games are the same except for combat. They trade for cards... Sounds familiar? Get money, blah blah blah. They can go into cities which are represented using the Northgate, and just like normal towns, but if they attack a civilian, it becomes a dungeon instead, like @Tomigon's idea. And then there are real dungeons for missions and such, like the dragon's maze. Like the idea?
  • If no one objects to the idea, I will start design the Dragon's Maze 2 on Wendsday. I am sorry for postponing it, but @Tomigon's Idea made me want to rethink on the contest.

Do you still need some of your empty rooms finished? Because I missed your contest.
  • @IanLowenthal, No need, we're starting a new one.
  • Wait no!!! I need some more time for my contest!!!
  • I am transferring this thread. This contest is now closed.
