Incella - A World of Plot, Intrigue, and Pirates
FOLLOW THE SET HERE, FOR MORE AWESOME CARDS! http://mtgcardsmith.com/user/IncellaPlane
This forum post is going to be for anyone who wants to help me design this set. Basically, just comment that you'd like to help me make it. .
With that out of the way, let's get started on the plane...
THE LORE
Incella is, yes, a pirate world. Plot, murder and battle have ensnared the plane, from the Lone Islands in the West, to the great Port of Gum in the East. As the navy battles and battles vainly against the pirate hordes, krakens, leviathans and other threats, a far more complex and deep struggle is being fought: one that will affect the whole multiverse. The Struggle for the Orb of Elbur.
Nobody knows where the Orb of Elbur came from. That, at least for the most part, is unimportant, however. What is important was who find it: Gem, Scourge of the Sea's, the man who famously sold his mother for a room in Krawgate Port.
Meanwhile, back on Ravnica, the Gatewatch here of the artifact, and are determined to win it back!
PEOPLE/RACES:
Goblins: small, aggressive humanoids. While they mainly inhabit the taverns and sidestreets of Port Crawgate, many have been seen as crew for pirates across the plane, and some even on the Lone Islands. Chiefly R, secondary G, and then B.
Ogres: large, aggressive humanoids. Very few are left alive, most of them being tracked down by the navy and monitored, since their enormous size makes them substantial threats to peace. Chiefly R and B, although some U.
Merfolk (also known as mermaids): creatures of the deep, who have been known to both wage war, and make friends with sailors. Chiefly U, secondary W/
Sirens: their haunting melodies travel across the seas, luring sailors and pirates alike to their deaths. Mainly B and U.
Humans: don't need much explnation. W, U, B, R and G.
Elves; thought extinct until Arblood, Intrepid Explorer discovered the Lone Islands, where thye were living peacefully alongside merfolk and the tribes, until settlers set about conquering the land. Now, they are bloodthirsty creatures, wielding nature as a fist against the invaders. Mostly G, secondarily R, thirdly W.
MECHANICS:
Definite mechanics:
Trove (Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, create a colorless Treasure artifact token with: 'Sacrifice this token: put a +1/+1 counter on target creature'.)
Surge {cost} (You may cast this spell for {cost} if you or a teammate has cast another spell this turn.) Was first in Oath, and was very popular. Fits the set as well.
Bribery (At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put a +1/+1 counter on this creature. If you do, it can't attack or block until your next turn.)
CURRENT PEOPLE PART OF THE INCELLA DESIGN TEAM: @TrippleBoggey3, @Fellwynd and @LittleDemon. Perhaps 1-2 more?
Good luck smithing.
Yours sincerely,
@KimJongMartin

What do you mean? In the set on my profile? Or on the cards that I've listed above?
http://mtgcardsmith.com/user/ForgottenDragons
It will make it easier for you and anyone pitching in to sort through and figure out what you need
Cool! S I've changed it a bit. Do you definitely want to help me design the set? If so, I'll send you the password when we get 1-3 other people.
Another thing is that most of your commons are too strong to be commons, they're typical uncommons. I left a bunch of comments on the cards but there were too many to look all of them in one go, I'll probably come back for the Gold/Artifact/Land section later ^^
Yeah, I was kind of messing around then...Now I'm serious! I'm going to be re-making TONS of my old cards today.
Cool!

Although it pains me to say it, the Incella project is lacking. Here's the situation with the people:
- Me: good to go, making lots of cards.
- @Littledemon: still active, at least I think, but hasn't made a card for a while.
- @felwynd: Disappeared, or at least hasn't made a card for a long while.
- @TrippleBoggey3: has not made a single card, and says he will only do the three W/B gold cards that are possible to be made.
Currently this is less of a collaboration set, and more of a 'set I'm making but some people randomly have the password to. I have made WAYYY more than half of the cards in the set, almost 2/3 of them.
To save the set, we will either have to have:
1. A new member(s).
2. @felwynd to return.
3. @TrippleBoggey3 and @littledemon to start making cards again.
Oh, and the mechanics are:
#1 Surge
#2 Trove (Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, create a colorless Treasure artifact token with: 'Sacrifice this token: put a +1/+1 counter on target creature'.)
#3 Loot # (Draw # cards, then discard # cards.) By someone.
PLEASE someone join/people start making cards again.
And, if anyone just has a couple of ideas they want to make, just message me and I will be all too happy to give you the account details, even if you only make one or two cards.
I might make a new thread for the set, even.
