    Just in case some weren't aware:
    This Contest is Closed for Judging!

    (I'll get to it as soon as possible!)
  • I have it narrowed down to 10 unique submissions thus-far.
  • That's out of 11 people, so we go a ways to go!
    XD
  • Initially 21 legal submissions (and perhaps 4 illegal). It's now down to 7...
  • Ooh! I know I won't be, but I hope I'm one of those seven.

    The three Honorable Mentions I really liked, like a lot. However, each of them would need (semi-substantial) rewording to actually function, so they didn't make it into the top three.

    @Flatfish with Mistprowler
    I don't know if Blue/Red is really a correct color scheme for "Traps" (if there even is one), but I love the idea of a Minotaur synergizing with them! The wording issue is with the activated ability:

    {2}{u}, Tap X untapped Walls you control: Search your library for a Trap card with converted mana cost X or less, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

    So cool that it relates to Walls and Traps! Cool concept, nice work.

    @Butters with Krumraduk
    Infuriate is really cool, though the wording needs retooling:

    Infuriate N (At the beginning of each end of combat step, if this creature attacked or blocked this turn, put N +1/+1 counters on it.)
    -a simpler probably effectually identical wording-
    Infuriate N (At the beginning of each end step, if this creature attacked or blocked this turn, put N +1/+1 counters on it.)

    Great work on a fun custom mechanic!

    Other than "I really like it", there isn't much to say.

    Wording needs to be more similar to this - http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=47274

    Clean and awesome, really neat artwork, well done!

    3rd Place
    @IanLowenthal with Grunsh
    I'm a little on the fence with this choice: the balance is close, the activated ability cost is a little wonky, some stuff shouldn't be capitalized, etc. But the artwork is awesome, the Mardu color-scheme is sweet, the tribal benefits are cool, and I like the card :D Congrats!

    2nd Place
    @AustinSmith with Feldagast and Flip
    Austin is awesome? He's turned out another really interesting, really flavorful, almost textually perfect, very cool legend that can command Mardu colored Minotaurs! I may have said this already, but, Austin is awesome!

    1st Place
    @DomriKade with Labyrinth Guardian
    The "Stay Outta My Maze" vibe is super cool. I think red might be a little underrepresented, but that is a negligible point relative to the sweet flavor here. Artwork is spot on too (and you remembered to credit the artist; Julie Dillon is awesome)! Perhaps a bump to rare would be reasonable for complexity reasons, but the balance is good. Overall this is just the card I'm the most drawn to; Well Done!
    (You may pick one additional favorite.)

    Winner and Honorable-Mention cards have been favorited! Thanks for the submissions @Everyone!
