"Telephone" Contest (CLOSED)
IMPORTANT: I got pretty much this entire contest idea from http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/2226/telephone-cardsmith#latest PLEASE go check it out!
So you know the game "Telephone"? If you do, you can skip to the three bold plus signs. If you don't, here's how it goes. There are normally around 6+ people, and the first comes up with a sentence or phrase. He whispers it into the next person's ear, making sure the other players can't hear it. That person continues to whisper what he heard to the next person, who whispers what he heard to the next person, and so on, until the last person hears the sentence/phrase, and tells what he heard to everybody. It normally comes out completely different because someone didn't hear something right, and someone else doesn't hear some stuff right, and it all snowballs into a jumble of words that don't even make sense.+++ So, with this contest, we're going to be playing "telephone" with magic cards. The first person will make a card, and give a brief explanation of what the card does, but don't be too specific. So don't outright say the card's abilities, don't say the name, color, rarity, power/toughness, etc. You could say something like:
"The card has a high power and toughness, and a low mana cost, but has a downside that makes you constantly lose life and discard cards. It has evasion abilities, and can make the opponent directly lose life."
Also, you have to post your card in a link like this. All you have to do is copy this and paste it with the URL in the right spot, replace the bracket with a >, and put a > at the end.
<a href="URL_GOES_HERE"]card</a
Other Rules:
1. You are allowed to change your card any amount before the contest ends
2. You can only use an original card that you made.
3. Max number of entries is three.
4. No joke cards or uncards.
5. Please have correct MTG language, since I get really bothered by incorrect MTG language.
I will be judging you based on:
- Balance
- Creativity
- Templating (including spelling, grammar, punctuation and spacing)
- Art selection (using existing MtG art is strongly discouraged)
- Flavor (Not flavor text, just how well the abilities fit with the art and name)
Rewards:
1st: I will follow you, favorite 5 cards of your choice, and you get to choose an honorable mention.
2nd: I will follow you and favorite 3 cards of your choice.
3rd: I will follow you and favorite 2 card of your choice
Honorable Mention(s): I will favorite 2 cards of your choice
I will be judging on October 31th, 2016. (14 days from when this contest was created)

- My card is good at attacking, but very bad at blocking.
- It has low power and toughness and cmc.
- It has an awesome damage dealing ability with sacrificing permanents of a specific type!
—> But it has a drawback.
Hmm, I'm sorry, but I think it would be for the best if you closed this contest. It's getting almost no notice because of the other one, and the other one's getting no notice because of this one. I'm sorry to be so pernickety, but, again, it would be for the best.
It's kind of like in business: the more supply, the less demand, and in this case the supply is 'telephone' contests. There has been FAR too much supply of these 'telephone' contests and not enough demand. As in business, it would be the best if you took some of the supply away from the market: or, in this case, close the discussion.
