Beta (Themed Challenges)
Did anyone else play the Infinite Warfare Beta? Well... I guess that doesn't matter in a Magic the Gathering community... Oh! An idea for my next contest!
In this contest, you may choose one or both of the challenges below and make cards for them! Good luck! (You can enter into both contests, and you may enter the same card into both contests if it fits.)
Challenge 1: The Be-sics
Every set needs the basics! Make the types of cards that are fundamental for a MTG set! Limit 5 standalone entries, 3 legendary/rare/mythic/planeswalker* entries, and one cycle per person. Put your entries into a custom set and link the set here. Standalone entries are any card that isn't part of a cycle, and isn't rare, mythic, a legendary card, or a planeswalker*. A cycle is a set of cards (rarity doesn't matter here) that share a theme, whether its a horizontal cycle (of five cards, one of each color) or a vertical cycle (four cards, one of each rarity).
Challenge 2: Beta Stage
During the beta of a game, people work out the bugs. In this contest, find a card you or Wizards of the Coast has made in the past that you aren't too fond of and remake it, changing anything to make the card better, whether its modifying its abilities, updating its text or art, balancing it, changing its rarity, or even just rebuilding it from the ground up! Limit five entries per person.

Best Standalone: Favorite, follow, feature on "Random Card"
Best Rare/Mythic/Legendary/Planeswalker*: Favorite, follow, feature on "Random Card"
Best Cycle: Favorite on each card, follow, feature on "Random Card"
Best in Class: Favorite is boosted to three favorites!

Best Remake of Official Card: Favorite, follow, feature on "Random Card"
Best Remake of Custom Card: Favorite, follow, feature on "Random Card"
Best in Class: Favorite is boosted to three favorites!
Special Prizes
Hot Shot: Winning three or more prizes boosts your follows by one!
Consolation Prize: Any acceptable card will be remade and added to Tommia!
Best Card in Show: Three favorites becomes as many as I can give you; same goes for follows!
Notes:
*Legendaries, rares, mythics and planeswalkers are less likely to be remade.
All entries must be original!

In case you didn't see, somebody didn't get the joke on your card.
It doesn't pown as much now, to say the least.
This card creates the STUPIDEST combos ever, with this card, Arcanus the Omnipotent, and Lab Maniac. UGH!
So yeah, I changed it.
