  Why have one dinosaur when you can have a herd of them?
  
  Also, for your good, the Dinosaur creature type is a subtype of Lizard. Check out Deathmist Raptor, something very close to an actual dinosaur in Dragons of Tarkir.

  Just from what I have seen in official cards, a good way to make a dinosaur using creature types already present in the game is making a dinosaur a Lizard Beast.
