  • Presumably, they are. They can still be countered by something that doesn't target, or exiled by Time Stop or Summary Dismissal.
  • @atrus159 basically. also, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets' emblem would counter Null value stuff, too.

also: fyi, i deleted my 3rd entry so i could start it fresh

Can I enter multiple things? If not I'm sorry and discount this one but if so here's my second one

    image
  • @atrus159 you can make up to 15 entries
  • @atrus159 Woah! I love the ruin thing you've got there! You should definitely make more! The fact that they have basic make them unlike any of the cards like them!
  • My only bit of criticism with the Ruins is that they're White. The card works perfectly as Black, but Mark Rosewater insists that White's main weakness is card advantage/card draw in general. Personally, I'd make them monoblack.

    -Submission removed-

Nod to @Mila and @Manikero for the great mechanics.
  • Thanks. I thought of 'Willbreaker' and wanted to create something similar.
  • @ShadowKnight1224 That's fair. I initially designed them to cost {w}{b} with the intention that they would go in an orzhov life gain deck but when i bumped it down to one mana i made it cost hybrid without thinking.
  • Basic

Great for artifact decks, might be a bit overpowered.
  • My submission for Primal, Primitive and Growl:

    image

Since all three mechanics had a very "primal" feel, I combined them into one card for thematic reasons, even if they don't have a lot of mechanical synergy. I think they work, though.

    @DragonFaceEater
Your Bloodlusting Ape's link goes to card image. Not card's page. Can you fix it?

    @atrus159 @ShadowKnight1224
"You may lose N life" template doesn't exist in MtG. X(
Check out my comment in your card's page.

@Mnemosyne Is "Incorporeal Nightmare" your creation? It says Anonymous.
Also your Marionnette's Manacles isn't worded correctly. X(

    Sorry for nit picking..

    Thanks for your entries @everyone!
  • @Tomigon Thank you for the correction! I have performed a minor edit to rearrange the words.

Edit# Sorry, I have to pull out.
  • @Tomigon thanks, I'm gonna do a change in a bit to fix the color pie thing so I'll throw that change in as well.

    Update for Endless Ruins:
    image

New entry for Godly (sorry the formatting is a bit weird, the cardsmith editor seems to have a problem with mana symbols being at the right level compared to the text) Also why is there no land-creature option, what is this tomfoolery?

  • @RohanDragoon Hey, I made a card with that archer art! (it's a lot less serious, though.)

I was having a lot of trouble creating cards for this challenge, and then I remembered the golden rule of being a sliver player: When in doubt, make Slivers! A little backstory, first. All of these slivers are from Dominaria years after Time Spiral. They have mutated further than they ever have on any plane, due to conditions being extremely good for slivers.
First, I have a young sliver using the "Basic" Mechanic.

    image

Who can tell me how many sets that card referenced? In all seriousness, having a 1 mana 1/1 can be exactly where you want to be with a sliver deck at times, if only to keep your curve low. It wouldn't see constructed play most likely.

Next up, a sliver with Mistform

    image

Some slivers have figured out how to become mist. Pretty cool! This one might see standard play, but it would not see Modern or Legacy play.

Last but not least, a sliver using Primal!

    image

If I'm being honest, I don't think primal is a particularly good mechanic. Imperiosuar(Which I can assume was what this mechanic was based on), is only a fine card in limited but never could see any constructed play.

But then it hit me: a card that reduced sliver's prices with some sort of drawback. Primal is that drawback. I added the "You may cast spells with primal using mana produced by slivers." clause so that Gemhide and Manaweft slivers don't become completely usless. This card would be a standard powerhouse, and might see fringe modern play, but it wouldn't be good in legacy.

Well, there you go, hope you enjoyed!
