QUESTION: How can you give planeswalkers new abilities during the game?
How would you do something like this
with MTG-Cardsmith?
Or what do you think of a combination of the "cipher-ability" with planeswalkers instead of creatures?
Cipher (Then you may exile this spell card encoded on a creature you control. Whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player, its controller may cast a copy of the encoded card without paying its mana cost.)
Example:
LG
Tutlaschk

Enchanted planeswalker has "Put two loyalty counters on this permanent: You gain two life."
Treat this ability as a loyalty ability.
Or something like that.
[cost]: For each planeswalker you control, you may add X loyalty counters to it and [effect].
