In a THREE-WAY TIE FOR SECOND, getting their card and 1 other favorite each... @MrRansom with Flamewright Scholar! (7/8 Creativity, 6/6 Balancing, 3/4 Looks, 1.5/2 minor details, total 17.5) @Imperial_Legacy with Entertainer's Illusions! (6/8 Creativity, 6/6 Balancing, 4/4 Looks, 1.5/2 minor details, total 17.5) @unicornsareevil13579 with Call of the Firemind! (8/8 Creativity, 5.5/6 Balancing, 3.5/4 Looks, 1/2 minor details, total 17.5)
OK! Flamewright Scholar was easily the hardest one to judge. It's creativity was very nice, the way it punishes people for hitting it. The way you can just fling it at enemies makes it suicidal, which is odd for a Wizard. It was a touchy card that I really just couldn't decide the scores very well on.
Entertainer's Illusions was GREAT. Seeing this card was nearly perfect. This concept of the card exists in other places in actual MTG, which brought down creativity a bit. Everything else, though, was great. I did have to question the end of the flavor text, however, as it seemed a bit odd that it takes great skill to calm the city than to ward off invaders...
Call of the Firemind was a pretty all-right card. It's creativity was the highest I scored in the contest, with the odd flashback ability and interesting card concept. I thought it was a bit OP, and when it came down to nit-picky stuff, it pretty much failed in that compartment. The card was just great though. It'd be a real threat on the battlefield.
Considering my first few choices, #1 was a shock to me too...or not, considering I picked it. First place, with their entry and 3 other cards favorited.... @ArienStorm with Angel's Gift! (6/8 Creativity, 6/6 Balancing, 4/4 Looks, 2/2 minor details, total 18)
Wow. This card, honestly, when I first saw it, I passed right over it. But this is pretty good! The concept was great, but boring, but I had to give it a good score as I believe 0 drop draw spells should be in the game. This card was perfectly balanced, looked amazing, and I found nothing wrong with it. Nice job and keep it up!
Thanks, everyone, for joining this contest. I had fun and I bet you all did too. Winners, let me know what cards you want me to favorite. If you have any questions about your entry, just ask!
