He starts out as a 2/2, which references his humble mortal beginnings. His ETB effect echoes all the different plagues and diseases he inflicted on different species. This he uses to better himself and help him raise an army. When he dies, his tomb infects all the other lands. Also he's exiled on death because NO RECURRING SHENANIGANS, THAT WOULD BE BAD.
