No proper American would read poetry.
of aviation,
there is no way a bee
should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get
its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway
because bees don't care
what humans think is impossible.
I know this isn't my thread, but I challenge everyone to make they're own original AABB or ABAB rhyming poem.
And that twilight's shadow pass upon one's woe,
That one love shall bring sorrow to the heart,
Which a solemn dove's choice through it will thwart.
My best, and first attempt at rhythmic poetry my whole life.
For those who don't understand, the dove represents Love in Mythology, so love is the one that is able to choose if the heart will be happy or sad.
Use the right grammar.

They're means "they are" so should be their

Mine would either be Lord Byron or Mervyn Peake.
EDIT: Plus...What? Why would no true American ever read poetry? Too busy eating and firing guns? :P
The only use of poetry is to impress your girlfriend, and even still, there are much easier ways to do that.
