Site Rules Question

I am making a set of cards for my cubelet which involve instructing players to drink. However, the ones that I made last night have disappeared. Have my cards been removed due to content or something?

  • I'm not sure, although you should specify that the drink is chosen by the playgroup and that it isn't necessarily alcohol.

For example, it could just be a gross shake made of Wasabi and so on!
  • @strembl7 - As this is a site with mostly kids ages 10 and up, certain cards are considered a violation of the terms of use. These include and are not limited to Drinking Games.
But here's the trick. MTGCardsmith understands you want cards to fit into your personalized games, and even though some cards are removed from public view, they still allow you to create and save them for your own personal use, by using the Download feature.
If you want to create a drinking game, by all means have at it, but if you "Publish" them on the site, they will be removed.
  • Thanks @Corwinnn. That explains why they have been disappearing so quickly. Is there no way to save them to my profile without making them visible to the public? Further, non-drinking-related cards have been removed such as a Legendary Trump, God-Emperor. Who is making the decisions to remove cards?
  • @strembl7 - There is currently no way to privatize cards aside from "download vs. publish". What I do is create a folder on my computer where I keep the cards I want to make that won't see the light of day here, and that's my "private" folder.
There are many factors that go into the removal of a card... Art, Language and Topic are the ones I can think of just off the top of my head. But there are external things as well, like if people are offended by a card and complain about it, it can wind up going bye bye. Sometimes people boost cards to earn a spot on the Popular spot, and those cards can become eligible for removal.
The decision to remove cards is usually left up to the person who gets stuck going through every card made for the day/week/month. Last month, almost 20,000 cards were made. I don't envy that person!
