Even though this contest is coming to a close. I would have to say that the quick riches ability still has formatting issues as I will mention.
1) Mana is removed with a non-if trigger hence it can still be spent beforehand. 2) Abilities can still be put on the stack and as such the mana can be spent on instants and so forth.
I'm wondering out of personal interest on how someone would implement split second into this version of the quick riches ability! (or if that is necessary.)
Quick Riches N ({t}: Add {N} to your mana pool. Activate this only if your mana pool is empty. If another source you control would add mana to your mana pool, remove this mana from your mana pool.)
@IanLowenthal Yeah, augury does feel like more of a steampunk mechanic. Although I'd have to look and see where the mechanic is from, as these are user keywords!
After many delays and extensions, Mechanix Challenge Nineteen has finally drawn to a conclusion!
Honorable Mentions - These are the cards that just missed being in the top spots, mostly due to that fact that there were so many great cards to choose from!
Third Place - Silent Screamer by @TenebrisNemo https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/silent-screamer I feel like this might be slightly on the OP side of things, but the flavor of the mechanic really comes through on this, making it our number three card!
Second Place - Lurking Atrociraptor by @KrampisZman https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/lurking-atrociraptor This mechanic surprised me, because I ended up really liking this a lot! The spin placed on this card made the mechanic really come to life, and it felt like it could actually be a card that made it's way into many decks!
First Place - Madcap Aeronaut by @koover https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/madcap-aeronaut This thing really IS bonkers! I looked at it once and knew just how insane this card is! This is definitely a card WotC should print in their upcoming "Return to Return to Ravnica" Set! This would set the Izzet World into a frenzy, and I, for one, would love to see that!
More Mechanix Hijinx will be on the way, once work settles down just a bit! Thank you to everyone who entered!
Keep your eyes peeled for... Hall of Fame ~TROPHY~ and MORE!!!

I think Augury needs a better name. "Coalesce" maybe?

Flavor: A shadowy cult foreshadows and warns of the coming of a great demon, and it turns out they were right.
Mind if I update Intak Palace?
I'm choosing to repost since my post's to old to edit.
