Circuit Challenge: Meet the Blades
Here's a little contest idea for you fine folks.
Some of the first prebuilt decks I ever played with were from Alara Reborn, and so I saw a lot of a cycle of commons aligned with the five shards: the Blades.
My challenge to you is this: let's make some more Blades! I'd like to see cards that fit the same template as the Alara Blades, for other factions from other planes.
Here are your formal rules:
1. Cards must be creatures.
2. Cards must be named as follows: [Faction] [Word]blade
3. Factions can be any political, racial, or social group from a Magic world. Examples include Rakdos, Simic, Atarka, Jeskai, Consulate, Renegade, Akroan, Loxodon, Boggart, Sylvok, Phyrexian, Kalastria, Voldaren, Thraben, Benalish, Orochi, Nezumi, etc. Really any group is on the table.
4. The art must have a bladed weapon in it. I know it's limiting, but the guys are Blades. Blades need to have some blades!
5. The creature itself doesn't need to be multicolor-matters, but it needs to benefit in some manner if you control another permanent with a relevant characteristic.
EDIT: Or if you meet some other requirement, now that I consider it. Be creative!
6. You can choose any rarity or CMC.
7. There can be a maximum of three submissions per person.
8. Cards will be judged on flavor, balance, formatting, the usual deal.
9. Judgement will be conducted on March 19/20.
Prizes are as follows:
First place:
1. A follow from me, Platypusburger.
2. Four card favorites, available on request, from me.
3. 1 Circuit Challenge point.
4. One month of premium membership, courtesy of @mtgcardsmith!
5. A secret, totally inconsequential, bonus prize.
Second place:
1. A follow from me, Platypusburger.
2. Three card favorites, available on request, from me.
3. 0.75 Circuit Challenge points!
4. One month of premium membership!
Third place:
1. A follow from me, Platypusburger.
2. Two card favorites, available on request, from me.
3. 0.5 Circuit Challenge points!
4. One month of premium membership!

Been too long since I submitted for a contest, but pretty happy with how it turned out.
