  • Starting with our #3 spot, @sanjaya666, I felt that Aether Breastplate tied in well with the mechanics of Kaladesh while the card art clearly represented a mix of both expansions, though I felt the flavor text was a bit lacking. As for Aethercore Nullifier, I felt it was the better of the two entries. I wasnt quite clear on the first ability of it, so I took it as at any time while it is on the field, you can prevent an overall total of two damage dealt to it, spread across any span of time either as two separate intervals of one, or one interval of two. I found it interesting, none the less, and it caught my attention. The card art was interesting, fitting more to Kaladesh, and the inclusion of the exert effect was a worthwhile addition to the card. Once again, I thought the flavor text was lacking. Your cards still looked both physically and mechanically realistic, as they were balanced and clean with very little error if any.
  • Moving on to our #2 spot, @Credius, I wasn't overly fond of the card art of Oversight Doomseer, but mechanically, this card was well made, both in balance and structure. I could definitely see a card of that magnitude in the Amonkhet expansion. As for Rahmeses, I felt like this was the perfect example of a mesh card between the two expansions mechanically, and while the card art was better, I still wasn't fond of it either. Overall the cards were fascinating mechanically but a little weak in the visual department.
  • And for our winner in the #1 spot, @Mila, your cards were almost exactly what I would picture if Kaladesh and Amonkhet combined. While the card art for both cards primarily leaned toward Kaladesh, the mechanics of your entries were phenomenal. Temple Raider reminded me of a buffed Restoration Gearsmith that also felt more feasible in an artifact deck, and the color scheme with the mechanics and card art was great. Rage Shaman used something I didn't think with the energy/exert combination, but I'm very happy you were creative enough to put the two together into a card that would work well in a deck of either expansion. Congratulation, @Mila, you deserve this victory.
  • @Corwinnn, this challenge is finished.
