    @Archergirl2000
    So far, not yet.
  • Oh and I made some more lore stuffs

    image

This is Rytheryc, a snake monster that lives somewhere in the Talwarie forest. It prays on innocent people from the nearby cities. However it one day attacked the city of Tasiya killing hundreds and causeing the city to fall. Many although many people were eaten that day a great number of people became refugees in nearby cities. Rytheryc is about 40 times the size of a Titanboa and most of the other snakes that are under its control are about 15 times the size of one or more. These massive snakes can devour an entire platoon of troops in an instant. Therefore the local kingdom has put out bounties offering huge rewards for anyone that kills one of these snakes and an even grander reward for anyone who kills Rytheryc their quote on quote leader.

    image

The snake token it makes. A semi large snake that has alot of sharp teeth to cause instant death for its prey. (larger then a human at least, probably this one is the closest in size to the original titanboa.)

    image

And a land to go along with it. That has a quote from a survivor of the Tasiya incident.
  • @Archergirl2000, I think the block is named "Sinivir"
  • Well yes I just put that there.

@everyone I was thinking we should assign certain groups of cards and lore into sets. Most likely we will have 3 sets in this block and if theres still enough lore we can start up another block on this plane. Obviously the Blood Fued of Tapoban will become a set due to there being the most lore for that at the moment and the Tasiya/Talwarie area most likely although theres no specific name choosen yet. We will have to see where the lore goes to decide on a third set. If anyone wants to make custom set symbols for these sets they can. Although I know u wont be able to put them on cards it could be a theoretical thing to have.

Amarina actually had a pretty normal life, for a merfolk, although she had no friends because she was an 'outsider'. Until someday her mother died because of a disease. Being the only one child, she had nowhere to go because she also didn't know about the whereabouts of her human father who was also rumored to be a pretty famous knight. Until then, she has been living as a freelance hunter, doing tasks in exchange for money or other precious stuffs.

Her current base: Somewhere around Tarnak islands.

A race of peace-loving, cooperative Sandworms dwells in deserts across Sinivir. Spawned by Y'vela to protect the deserts and those who travel there. That's right Sandworms (Wurms), are white in Sinivir. As such, they follow white's philosophy of community, order, and morality. So, they won't tend to have trample or deathtouch or hexproof, instead they'd have lifelink or vigilance or first/double strike. The will also tend to be smaller (p/t) than traditional green Wurms.

A young prince once was banished for his manipulative powers, and began to deal with the gods for power. One god sealed him in a lamp and told him as long as jarrush brought his hypnotized victims to the god, he would be free. Know the djinn seeks for more victims, desparate to escare his brass prison.

The Meniot Fortress is a very isolationist city with the entire city being a fortress of people who are trained in their youth the art of espionage and stealth. It is rumored in other cities that Meniot knows you are coming the same day you disembark.

Kalkurio is the mountain peak of the Sapkur volcanic region. The volatile area has been said that it's been in a continuous state of eruption for centuries. With daily earthquakes and explosive lava plumes. The trade road of the Dead Lands which is down hill from Kalkurio is a dangerous trade route often used as a last resort road if one can't navigate to Tapoban by sea. It's commonly reported that the rain in the region is sulfur rain.

The Dead Lands are riddled with molten fields that is continuously flowing of lava and venting sulfuric gases. To traverse these areas is often suicidal. Often it's mentioned of those who wander off the roads and paths. Only one of a hundred have survived.

The life source of the plane, when awakened by the other gods power, and wishes to kill the ones that rule the plane instead of it.
  • @Finmide Damn my typo ! And thank you for the info, I couldn't zoom properly.

As the legend goes, Y'vela God of the Desert traded a sandwurm to the River God, Shenagh, in exchange for a crocodile. The sandwurm was introduced into the Louly River and has terrorized fishermen ever since. The crocodile was introduced into the desert and has terrorized travelers ever since.

Should be "becomes an Island until the end of your next turn" Don't know how I screwed that up.
  • edited May 2017
@ASubtleGhost your depiction of Shenagh inspires me!

I think that's enough monks for now...
  • edited May 2017
Right, that's enough lore for now, we need to think of a story/ situation for this plane!

  • edited May 2017
Somewhere in the story someone has to travel through the Deadlands and deal with magma fish.
    image

The River Timersal. The most important river in the plane.

This is what we have to work with:

    1. The Tapoban blood feud

    2. Rytheryc and the Talwarie forest

(These can be added to if anyone comes up with some intense lore)

    Sub-stories/ Events:

    - Sapkur Volcano contains gems, valuable minerals, etc. Bandits roam this area despite it's dangers and there is a treacherous trade route through the dead lands.

    - The Nung (artificers) and the war the Oncetime Vision (a band of traitors), where the Once want to make Nung an island ruled by nature, not man.

    - Amarina the merfolk outcast; she is part human (father, who is a famous knight apparently) and part merfolk (mother who died recently of an unknown disease).

    - Meniot Fortress; a isolated city where people train in the arts of stealth

    - River Timersal; the most important river in the plane (for an unknown reason yet (cue the creative thinking))

    - The cooperative sandworms

    - A young prince once was banished for his manipulative powers, and began to deal with the gods for power. One god sealed him in a lamp and told him as long as jarrush brought his hypnotized victims to the god, he would be free. Know the djinn seeks for more victims, desperate to escape his brass prison.

    - Oceanus destroys Vis and the city of Shegarra makes a prayer to Ornema, the god of cities (still needs to be made)

    - And of course, don't forget our (now) four gods!

    Here's another important story point.
    image
    Possible conflict among gods?

    Possible new god:
    image

Changed the name to Ornema because the art was female.

Also if someone wants to come up with the reason for why Oceanus got angry at the government in Shegarra and destroyed Vis that would be great.
  • edited May 2017
Updated an earlier post to include this in the lore with The Louly River Monster.
  • @Rednaxela Shegarra and vis have been sending people to the ocean to excessively fish and kill oceanus's precious leviathans for sport and materials.
  • https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/leviathan-hunter-1 Card for that idea
And by the way, i posted a few cards and they weren't added to the lore @Finmide ?
  • @zizick123 That's a good idea.

    Here's some cities:
    imageimage

Some lore in the flavor text.

If anyone else makes any more cities, they should have "fortress" in the name to keep things consistent.

Also, the cards that I don't post on the thread will be in this set:

The minister of Nung City was elected at a very young age, but has much responsibility for his people. Though called unwise, Alia Prince often leaves the city in disguise, escorted only by a few automated guards to speak with outlying villages. Often the Oncetime Vision threaten him, but his acting and intelligence usually convince them that he is one on their side.
    image
Settan, Alia's younger step-brother, always hated Alia's pride and judgement. To show his anger, he left home and found himself leading a band of Oncetime visionaries through the forests and swamps of the northern peninsula. His only goal is to destroy what his obnoxious brother builds up, but has no anger against the Nung in general.
  • The great forest of Talwarie is home to (at least) three main races:
    The giant snakes
    The Feonir (Cat shamans)
    The Llorts (Trolls)

Ulthrall is a god commonly invoked both by existing and aspiring leaders. Representing what it means to rule (Interdependence, power, and order.) Those who fail to rule by being unjust or tyrannical are subject to divine vengeance, similarly to those who plan to kill fair and proper leaders.

    image

Vyrith was made by Ulthrall as a gift to Ravelia in order to aid her in getting the throne.

Question: Can someone just add some missing plots to other player's stories? Like characters that have some ties with other player's characters? Or link their characters to each others? Just asking so that people won't just flood this thread with new characters that have no relationship whatsoever out of the blue because that just would make this whole story feels 'shallow'.
  • I'd figure you can if you ask the creator of the character in question.
