Comment Reminders and counter (Feature Request)
Hello fellow Cardsmiths and Staff, we're looking to see people's opinions on a few features we're requesting. (Posted this as a more detailed public feedback record!)
These being a display for reminding card creators that there are unread comments on their cards as well as a counter universally on mtgcardsmith webpages displaying how many and what cards have unread comments for a specific user.
What we're looking for is a tab on the top of the webpage that has an expandable list with the following, in addition to a counter beside it for displaying how many unread comments are on your cards.
Here are the following features/details we're mentioning...
Tab:
1a) Drop down tab that contains a list of the most recently commented on cards of yours and the cards that you hadn't uploaded but have a response to your comment.
1b) One side of the drop down tab lists your cards. Whereas the other shows other peoples cards with responses to your comments.
1c) Whenever you view a card page it's removed from the list upon this tab and the pending comments page.
2) A button that brings you to a page listing all the cards with un-responded to comments, regardless of how recent.
Counter:
3) A counter beside this tab that shows the amount of pages pending viewing.
I would like to ask what the community's opinions on this are and what could be added!
Keep in mind that I tried to keep the list reasonable in terms of the site's server usage. But without asking for features that are attained by using the Disqus forum software. This way they'd be plausible, even if they can't completed for quite some time.
In addition to this, I would like to reference the following page for an idea on streamlining image/link posting to the disqus forums and external sites onward from MTGCardsmith. (That one being much less intensive to implement in comparision!)

...or on a single thread that other users can easily view all of the latest suggestions/ideas/thoughts and add in their own!
Yeah, I was going to do that, but it was late here. I wanted to make sure there was a thread with the feedback in addition to the comment to be sent to the MTGC staff.
Would you or mtgcardsmith mind making such a thread, as it would be found easier?
It's basically just a thing that lets you check what was commented on recently without looking at the individual page first. Thus allowing you to know if there are new comments.
This is especially useful as it's directly in response to the issue you mentioned. It also helps new users feel their feedback is important by making uploaders able to respond when they have a long card collection.
It's similar to how DeviantArt has a thing that tells you how many uploads each user you follow has made that you haven't likely seen.
