Card Feedback Needed - Vidis, the Smokeshard

So, I'm currently making an MtG set called Storms of Brigala, which is a set heavily focusing on Elemental Creatures due to a little bit of lore I'm writing on for the Plane of Brigala. There are two main keywords introduced in this set, which are Massive X (Creature can block X number of creatures, but taps if it survives the combat) and Paradox, which is a keyword exclusive to Creatures and Enchantments, which activates once another card is played that shares the same name.

Now with that little bit of context out of the way, the main "Lore" villain of this set is Vidis, the Smokeshard, a Planeswalker from Brigala who manages to put his own plane in a state of elemental unrest. Now, for the Actual Card

He's a black Planeswalker, but costs red and black mana (Unsure if that's even possible on a planeswalker). 1 Black and 1 red as well as 4 mana of any cost is required to play the guy.

I was looking for a synergistic tool for Paradox-focused decks, and having a card which returns creatures to your hand from the graveyard as well as being able to (eventually) give your creatures flash is the idea I went with regarding his abilities. Not sure how balanced this all is, so hence why I'm asking for some feedback. Thanks in advance. Oh, and in case you wanna actually comment on the card itself, here's the page. https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/vidis-the-smokeshard-1

  • Wow I love it. My only suggestion would be to better word the middle line. Maybe "Place the top card of you library into your graveyard. If it is a spell, it deals damage to target player equal to its converted mana cost."
  • Actually, the word for milling is "put", not "place", so better wording for the -1 ability would be something like this: "Put the top card of your library into the graveyard, then if that card is nonland, deal damage equal to its converted mana cost to target creature or player" . Also as a side note, cards aren't spells when they aren't on the stack, but every nonland card is a spell on the stack, so I figured out that you meant nonland card there. If you meant instant or sorcery then replace the nonland part with instant or sorcery.

And then the last ability, it kinda isn't in Black or Red colorpie, but since every color gets flash in some decree, and if it has enough flavour reasons it should be fine.

Maybe pumping up the starting loyalty to 5 would be justified, since the ultimate doesn't really straight up win the game, and that is 6 mana planeswalker, so 4 starting loyalty is a bit low. This card definitely is interesting, but I feel like in the end it really doesn't do enough for a 6 mana planeswalker, but that could also be easily fixed by dropping the cost down. Interesting card, but needs some changes.
