grammatically, if you use the singular form of a pronoun for someone you do not know the gender of, it is allowed to go he/him
Also, You guys have probably noticed I've been pretty active past week or two. I'm on summer break from college and remembered some cards on cardsmith (ironically one being an Egyptian Set and one being an Atlantis Set) That really drew me in. Art major--anything I can do to help pm me!

You could just say "they" or "their", if you want to be inclusive but write less.
It's technically appropriate grammar. As an example you'd say "they" if you didn't know what a pet is.
Ironically, it always has been. People just usually default to any unknown being male.
