@jazipa You can have it say when it deals damage, that would mean if it has an effect that does damage it will blight the creature, as well as combat damage and "fight" effects.
I want the ability to work when the creature would be put into a fight (through a spell or otherwise) and when it is blocked or blocks. The problem with this is that I don't want you to be able to return a creature with blight from combat, but still blight the creature that blocked it. I also want the ability to not require damage.
Wording is very important in Magic The Gathering, particularly on printed cards and mechanics. When fight is used in magic, it means and only means when the keyword is used and the creatures simultaneously deal damage to each other equal to their power.
But based on your answer, you would have properly answered: "(b)cd". And then the reminder text would be along the lines of (Whenever this creature fights, becomes blocked by, or blocks a creature, that creature becomes blighted and gains blight.)
@Monstrumonium But what is somebody blocks with a creature with Blight, and then returns it to their hand? The creature it blocked shouldn't become blighted, in that case.
@jazipa At that point, you would have to compromise that near redundent aspect. Flavorfully, you could just justify it by the creature still spreading the infection but not staying around long enough in the combat to deal any considerable damage. Especially since creatures that can't deal damage still get the opportunity to spread it. Such as freakin stone walls. At some point, you have to sacrifice optimal flavor for straight-to-the-point mechanics and realisticness.
Alright... Here's an idea. "Blight (At the beginning of each end step, each creature this creature fought, blocked or was blocked by gains blight and becomes blighted.)"
(Mary Mallon is better known as Typhoid Mary, a cook who was an asymptomatic carrier for typhoid fever and therefore unknowingly infected dozens of people).
@jazipa With that method, if the creature with blight dies from combat (and out of combat too, before the end step), it wouldn't be on the battlefield by the end step to have that ability trigger, therefore not spreading the blight unless it survives until the end step. (See Krovikan Vampire's rulings for reference)

Second entry
In my opinion, if a source deals non-combat damage, it can still spread the infection.
Blight (Whenever a creature with blight fights, blocks or becomes blocked by another creature, that creature becomes blighted and gains blight.)
