I personally don't play pauper, so it's difficult for me to really understand power levels for it, so sorry if they're a little overpowered
I enjoy it as it's a great way to get into the game on a low budget or just try out MTG for the first time.
Extension Announcement:
I'm extending the contest for an extra day. It will be closing it at the end of tomorrow, July 21st. (Although late entries/revisions are accepted for as long as judging is ongoing!)

No problem, I understand that it's difficult especially at this time of year with kids being off school. (The contest is open to entries for longer due to late entries being allowed though, in the case you get spare time!)

Soulforged may be a bit too good at common. I dunno, alternate ways to cast are difficult for me to balance.
Sweet, another way to play freebies. This time's Wheel of Fate and Pact of the TItan.

I'd like to mention the card Soulforged Knight for having such an interesting mechanic at common rarity. This card pushes alternative costs at lower rarities in an interesting way!

2) @TenebrisNemo: Mermaid of Currents
A very interesting idea that we can see being implemented in future sets. I'm imagining versions of this involving -1/-1 and/or poison counters in various ways. Only concern is the heavy colored mana, although it's too good to not mention here.
