If you two need any help, just send a message! :)

For the time being, I need to speak to mtgcardsmith and Corwinnn about a bug with the card editor. Which is preventing us from making changes that would fit on the text box normally.

Hopefully they'll be able to fix the finicky issues regarding the editor soon.
  • You write that you have an additional comment for Mashu, but I don't see one. Was that an error? I've gone through all the ones you've listed so far. I left a comment on Gilagamesh and maybe one other. Artoria I can't find the image on my PC right now, but I'll correct it later. Nero Claudius I like with lifelink, though I understand what you're saying. I'll probably just leave it though.

    Thanks again!

P.S. I've made almost 20 more 'sideboard cards.' I'm cutting myself off at 25 total. 3 more creatures, and then maybe a land or artifact or something, and then I'm done. Lol. Didn't intend to make that many more. But, I figure it gives a lot more variety so I can modify the deck between games.
  • Cool, I'll have to get checking up on some of the comments.
  • @Platypusburger

HI. It's been a few days since you last posted on this. I was wondering when you would keep looking at it. Obviously, I'm on your timetable. Just let me know when you think you'll be able to keep reviewing them.

Thank you again for all the help you've been giving me!
  • On a side note, I'm making either 1 or 6 more cards. I have made 119 non-basic land/non-token cards so far. I'm stopping at 120 or 125. So... yay for the end being in sight?! lol.
  • @RayEarthIX
I'm free to look over any cards while Platypusburger is busy.
  • @modnation675

Up to you. Platy was doing a final sanity check of sorts on the normal cards I'd made. If you want to go over them, or the new ones (starting past the basic land cards on the list), I wouldn't say no. ^_^
  • @RayearthIX
Okay, I'll take a peek and message you when Ii's complete
  • @modnation675

Thanks. For the sake of saying, I think most of the new ones work, but there are some that... well... I'm pretty sure don't. I plan on editing a few of them more later, but if you get to them before I can edit them myself, I'll make those revisions based on your comments.

    Thanks for the assistance!
  • @RayearthIX
No problem, I was just trying to re-work two of your cards that focus on colors and specific names.
  • Sorry, I've been pretty busy this week. I'll pick up where I left off.
  • @Platypusburger
Okay, I've been giving some re-formatting feedback so that not spaced cards can be spaced properly.

  • @platypusbrger - on a few you said to use a hybrid border instead of a gold dual colored border... why? Is the gold only for certain types? If so, when do I use which?
  • edited August 2017
@RayearthIX - Typically Hybrid borders are for when the mechanics of a card fall under two colors, and therefore could be paid using either one color mana or the other... they also make use of the Hybrid mana symbols.

Gold borders are for all other mixed mana cards.

Of course it could just be for aesthetics!

    XD
  • @Corwinnn Got it. I'll keep that in mind when I do my final review before printing the set. Good to know.
  • edited August 2017
@Corwinnn beat me to the punch! Yeah, hybrid mana in mana costs call for a hybrid border, otherwise use the gold border.

  • I will be making 2 more cards (140 in total, with 10 tokens and 5 basic land cards). At that point I am forcing myself to stop. lol. I never intended to make this many to begin with... but sometimes when there's a lull at work I just couldn't stop myself from making a new one.

  • I'll look through all your comments today and over the weekend. Unless I suddenly have 5 new AMAZING ideas, I'm done. So I hope to finish editing everything this weekend, and send it to print next week. ^_^

    I unintentionally made enough cards for 2 commander decks... ... Which might be a good thing. Who knows. The 140 cards break down to;

    1 planeswalker
    58 creatures
    16 artifacts
    14 enchantments
    8 instants
    7 sorceries
    21 non-basic lands
    5 basic lands
    9 creature tokens
    1 emblem

    Orion (but really Artemis)
    Cleopatra
  • I'd be curious to see what deck lists you make from these.

    Marie Antoinette
    Domus Aurea de Curcubeu Mare
    Angra Mainyu, Corrupted Grail
    Shared Pain
    Mischievous Tutor
    It's a Trap!
    Atalanta
    Passionlip
    Melt Virus Ballet
    Saint Martha
    Kiss of Serenity
  • and that's everything! lol. I'll revise the cards over the next few days and let you know when I'm done. I'll probably have questions for some too, which I'll reply to your comments with. Thank you again for all the help!

    @Platypusburger

I created a new wave of cards for this (links below). If you'd be so kind as to check them for balance and wording, I'd appreciate it. If not, let me know, and I understand (as you've looked at so many already for me). I finally figured out how to print them and am starting the process of resizing images and uploading them for printing. It's much more involved than I was expecting, but an end goal is insight and I have a price point I know I need to spend, so... Yay! Now I have enough for 2 commander decks based on this easily.

The KanColle one I'll get to eventually. ... eventually.
