What's Your Most Prized Possession?
Just 'cause I'm curious, what's your most prized (official) MTG card?
Mine would have to be Avacyn, Angel of Hope. I've never made it a secret that my most FAVORITE block ever was the Innistrad block, my first set that I really got into Magic, so you can imagine the sheer euphoria I experienced when I opened that single Avacyn Restored booster pack, and found freaking AVACYN, the character the set was practically named after.
On another related note, I've got this theory that your first set is your favorite set. I'm not talking about the first set that you got a pack of cards from, or that you first played Magic with, I'm talking about the very first set that you really get into Magic. I really liked the Ravnica set. Theros was pretty cool. Khans of Tarkir has been interesting. But nothing has even come close to being my favorite set as Innistrad did so far. Maybe it was just a really good set. Maybe that's just my opinion. Do you agree with my theory?

The card I love playing the most? Illicit Auction.
When I first started playing, Prophecy was released and I bought two Avatars of Fury and two Avatars of Woe. Those are a couple of my favs.
But I've never been allowed to play my Time Vault with my group.
I also own an Avacyn, Angel of Hope and she's definitely one of my favs.
Seedborn Muse is another card that I've always been fond of, especially with another of my favs, Arcanis, the Omnipotent.
Akroma's Memorial is another fav.
And then Planeswalkers...I own a Venser and Vraska, two Lillianas, an Ajani, Tamiyo, and Ral Zarek. All favourites.
But if I had to choose just 1...of all my cards that I own...
Jenara, Azura of War
She is the Commander of my Jenara, Counters of War deck, and also my Jenara, Enchantments of War deck. A 3 drop 3/3 with evasion and cheap permanent pumpability just begs to be built for.
All that being said, Prophecy was the set that I fell in love with magic, even though my obsession was already growing. But Prophecy is not my favourite. The original Ravnica block is packed with so many good things that I would have considered that my favourite until this most recent Tarkir block....which, if you haven't seen the spoiled cards for Dragons yet, is quite incredible.
The whole idea being the first set is one present. The middle set is the past being changed, and the final set, overwhelming Dragon numbers have changed the present into a world filled with Dragons. It is super cool.
Another favourite is Doran, the Siege Tower. Not only does he fall under my favourite colours, allowing a litany of potential in terms of what he can work with, but he affects the whole board, a concept I have always loved. I don't enjoy ruining people's experiences, blue mana, I am looking at you, but I do like causing a shift in mentality.
In general, the thing that draws me to a card is fun, I don't like winning in one turn, I don't care for standard, or even more so modern and vintage. They're too specific in their plans, no room for change. It's like playing chess and doing the same moves every game. I enjoy commander due to its ability to limit the promise of quick power and the treasure trove of potential in terms of cards, combos, synergy. I like the idea of having fun with magic. Playing with friends for no reason other than you love the game. I get tournaments, I understand draft and pre-releases, I just don't enjoy them.

It's very simple but it represent my play style! But first of all, isn't the art awesome?
It's cool seeing your favorite cards everyone, thanks for responding!
@Corwinnn: Lol, I'm not surprised at all that that's your favorite card. :P Sounds like a fun card to play!
@Looverse: You lucky, lucky person. Give me some of your luck please! XD
@Suicidal_Deity: AGH! Eldrazi! Evil! Haha, anyway, I agree that it is fun to just play the game and not worry about it.
@6tennis: Whoa, nice! I'd love to play that in a W/B deck with stuff like Sign in Blood and such!
@Tomigon: Yeah, that art is pretty awesome!
My most prized card is either my Liliana of the Veil, or my foil Twilight Mire. I would have to say Liliana, simply because she is INNISTRAD!!!!
BTW, my first set was Scars. I like it, but it's ot my favorite.
Yo @Corwinnn, have a look at Ink-Treader Nephilim. It's the bomb with Illicit Auction!
Did I actually just call it a Phyresis deck? Lol, I meant Phyrexian Unlife. But I should probably add Phyresis.
Well I'm a super commander player, and what would my commander deck be without a commander? My commander is Sharrum the Hegemon from FTV. She's not worth a lot but she's also a toolbox card that can do almost anything! She's so combo-licous!
If we can talk about multiple cards, I would say me and my friend's "community" cube. It's so much fun to draft and building it up is excellent.
If we can talk about cards that are lot but we still know are somewhere around here, well. I lost my gitaxian probe ($2), my Sigarda ($7), and my FOIL blood braid elves ($11). xD.
This one comes out from the first pack I bought!

I screamed with excitement XD
But my favorite planeswalker is the normal version of Chandra Nalaar. I don't know why, but she is always in my commander deck.
First sets I bought some of were Tenth edition and Lorwyn block.
First set I dove into was Shards of Alara.
Started attending pre-releases whenever I could with Worldwake.
Favorite sets are (in chronological order): Ravnica (all six of them), Shards of Alara, Rize of the Eldrazi, Scars of Mirrodin, and Khans of Tarkir.
My favorite pre-releases were World-Wake and Rize of the Eldrazi, and Scars of Mirrodin.
My favorite set to draft was Scars of Mirrodin.
The more elementalism involved, the more I love it.
Ravnica, Alara, and Tarkir have been the best worlds at it so far in my opinion.
As for favorite cards of my collection, just some of them are:
Humility (reserved list), Any of my Pre-release promos (Especially Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Steel Hellkite, and Fathom Mage), my Planeswalkers (Especially my copies of Venser, the Sojourner), and my other Rares/Mythics from Scars block.
I really enjoy owning prominent characters from a world like my Griselbrand (pulled it and another black mythic in the few packs of Avacyn block I bothered with), the Guild and Clan leaders, and Planeswalkers.
Not only is it a badass foil, it's also one of my favourite cards printed for a long, long time. It's one of those rare cards that really feel mythic because they are super unique - Trample and Double Strike on the same card + Red card advantage?
It wasn't ever much good, but it's definitely a card I will never forget. I still need 2 more for a playset, but as a guy who loves playing monored, this is great fun for casual magic.
Don't forget that flavor text
Fire to destroy. Fire to create.
As for the sets, for a long time I played Born of the Gods, then some Journey Into Nyx. A while later I got a ton of Theros, because even though I didn't have any, it seemed like a really cool set. And I was right - Theros is still my favourite set, and I wish Wizards would make another set like it. So perhaps your theory isn't always correct, krazykobold?
How many other Hydras do you have? Are there any others that you like as much?
Primordial Hydra in particular.
(As a side note, Heroes' Bane is one of those cards whose regular art I like better than the promo, but enjoy having a dated, foil version of the card. The struggle is real.)
So for me I do have Kamigawa cards as well I was intrested in that set
Umezawa's Jitte

I love that card
My most prized possession is probably my 3 copies of Shaman of the Great hunt, or keranos, god of storms. Also my vorel playset
