Creatures you control have Polarize {1} ({1}: This creature loses all types and becomes a colorless equipment artifact attached to target creature you control. It is a creature as long as it is unequipped. Polarize only as a sorcery)
Equipments you control have "Equipped creature gets +1/+0"
I tend to use existing planes as a baseline for a story, which I then try to make a full-fledged set out of. If I'm not working on something specific, I tend to make red/black cards along with random tributes to other Smiths. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for with that question, but I tried.
@TheFriendlyGeek, well...its difficult to make a Mardu card that's name includes the words 'friendly' and 'geek!'

@Gelectrode Am putting this in my r/u artifact deck. {wild applause} Now all we need is someone to make all of these... (pans to @Corwinnn and slowly zooms in on his face)
One small hit of backstory regarding my username--Both names are shortened versions of my old DnD characters. Nokiinrath, or Noki, was a Pyromancer with the sole intention of proving his combat prowess. Skaurimonu, or Skaur, was a necromancer who only joined the party to gain influence over the world. They both hated each other, but they eventually got merged into one character via divine intervention. If you want to use that basis for the commander, that's fine. If not, it's a decent memory of DnD.
@ Gelectrode I really like some of the interactions between these cards, even though the interactions are not explicitly/purposefully created. For example, running Owlboy with Modnation gives you a pretty reliable way to give your attacking creatures vigilance and flying with permanents, opening up for a great jeskai colored midrange/buff deck (I say this only because my first, and one of my favorite edh decks was a Narset, Enlightened Master jeskai midrange that utilized awesome combat spells like http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=386538 . Anyways, the owlboy and modnation combination opens up many possibilities as your creatures are already untapped and have flying, meaning several more instants become available to finish out the game). Well done creating such fantastic cards
@Gelectrode Woah! Love those concept cards... all the flavor man...Wish we could include some of these in the decks! However, this might be a problem if we don't have any direction :P I think right now we should think about the partners that should pair with each other...
And can I have a "my mtg" personality from everyone? I'd like to see everyone represent themselves as a legendary creature leading an army (since the only person that knows you as an mtg player the most, is you!). We really need everyone on the same page here, and I'd like to see how our 5 or 4 decks could fit into your playstyles!
Speaking of which, what are our playstyles gonna be? We could have them focus on various card types in mtg... a creature heavy deck, a spellslinger's instants/sorceries deck, maybe a Theros inspired enchantments deck, and a Kaladesh inspired artificer/artifacts deck!
This set is still in it's baby steps, so I don't think most things are gonna be set in stone, but I do hope we get feedback on this set! You can tell me what you may want to include in here, or remove... I'm all ears for feedback
@TheFriendlyGeek You said you were Mardu and that you liked warriors, right? As of now I haven't seen anyone post a prospective build for a Mardu colored commander in this deck, so I think that "The Not-So-Friendly Geek" would be a great card for a Mardu warrior commander
The Not-So-Friendly Geek 3BR{W/U} Legendary creature - Human Barbarian Whenever one or more creatures you control attack an opponent, that player discards a card and loses life equal to the number of creatures attacking him or her and you draw a card and gain life equal to the number of creatures attacking him or her.
I think it's important that we talk about what playstyles we should include BEFORE what legends we should consider to include... I don't want anyone making an Izzet instant/sorcery commander, in which we don't even have an instant/sorcery themed deck for him to go in when we decide on playstyles after...
So, I'd like everyone to just talk about what playstyles they'd like to see in these decks! Then, we can just talk about what themes we should use or let go... I think we should start thinking towards four decks for now, and maybe a fifth one if we have time on our hands...
Just brainstorm any interesting deck ideas for now, and maybe even talk about what interesting twists or turns we could change with the decks!
