@modnation675 Yeah, I thought to do so. But I get the feeling I'll mess it up. As such, we're thinking of getting them from a card game service to print them and use custom packaging.
We just can't resist the idea of minting some of our best Commander cards. (Obviously it'll be a while until it happens though.)
Would that be something similar to those 'print your own business card' websites, but for card games? If so, do you think you could send me a link to one, in case I want to use it in the future? I think that would be pretty nice to have, especially if I finish Fall of Ravnica, City of Ruin, or whatever this ends up being.
@modnation675 I have less of a problem with colored artifacts for some reason, but I don't like making enchantment creatures/artifacts because of the border.
I believe that these will all be added in due time.
On a different note, what does everyone think of artifact creatures that transform into equipment upon dying? Would you rather have that than have equipment transform into different equipment for different situations, at the cost of mana? I'll make examples of both as soon as I can, just to help explain it better.
Ashmouth Blade doesn't seem that bad in my opinion... it's normal cost for a 3/3 pump, and it grants First Strike. Harvest Hand/Scrounged Scythe is objectively horrible--everything about it is overpriced.
I was thinking of something like the Trick Weapons from Bloodborne--Something like a +1/+1 pumper that you can pay (1) to grant first strike without a p/t boost, which you can pay (1) to switch back.
I can only think of two other equipment cards from Shadows--True-Faith Censer, and Slayer's Plate. I don't remember Shadows all that well in general, probably because most of my collection from it was inherited from my uncle.
I don't think I've ever participated in a draft event, but I've been to the Core 15, Eldritch Moon, and Hour of Devastation prereleases, and I'm going to Ixalan when it happens.
I've only played Commander a couple times. If I find a time that works for everyone, I'll play a game of EDH with one of my friends and, possibly, my aunt's boyfriend.
@NokiSkaur Three is far too much given the first strike side and two isn't as well. The main issue are the worth of the two sides vary a lots and as such doesn't support switching back and forth.
This isn't taking into consideration the transform costs. Cards of this nature generally have to be very well stated and efficient for play-ability.
True. I could do something with reach rather than first strike--that would make both sides better for different situations, rather than just 'I don't want to trigger lifelink/deathtouch."
When this creature enters the battlefield, create a colourless ____ equipment token with equip {2}. You may attach that token to this creature.
Most creatures with this ability will pump all tokens of the chosen type. Types could include whips, swords, shields, blades, poisons, etc. Effects for these weapons could include p/t buffs, evergreen abilities, activated abilities, triggered abilities and whatnot. How does this sound to everyone?

I dunno, I'm having a hard time being intrigued while I know we can't use colored artifact borders.
Which is something I've wanted to do for ages.
When I want to make a coloured artifact, I tend to just use the coloured border and classify it as an artifact. It works for what I do with it.
Yeah, I suppose I'm on the less common side. Mainly as we intend on printing a lot of our cards.
Ah... I see. I don't have easy access to a printer, so I make my cards more for casual online play and whatnot.

A simple example of the first would be the following.
Whereas the following is a basic example of the later.
I completely forgot about those cards...
No problem, those cards are very unnoticeable since they suck for the most part. XD
Only the last one is reasonable on equip before transform. Otherwise, it costs too much!

Perhaps you could tap or exert a creature to equip this armour for 'free'? That would be both flavourful, and somewhat useful as well.
Ashmouth isn't horrible. It's just worse than alternatives given the build around requirement.

Yeah, I just buy singles. Which means I only learn of cards from brewing johnny decks and watching Youtubers.
Currently, I'm buying singles for the Scars block. My plan is to buy every rare, mythic, and cycle from Scars onwards.
Cool, I usually just buy decks singularly. I haven't been as interested in recent sets draft-wise.
I really want to play a Commander-esque draft though.
I don't think I've ever participated in a draft event, but I've been to the Core 15, Eldritch Moon, and Hour of Devastation prereleases, and I'm going to Ixalan when it happens.
Yeah, I guess I just have a habit of playing Commander and/or Planechase now. XD

Equip W
Equipped creature has first strike.
1: Transform this equipment
Equip W
Equipped creature gets +2/+1
1: Transform this equipment
What is the casting cost currently?
& Are those two sides of the same one? If not, what is the other side?
It's two sides of the same card--current casting cost will probably be 2 or 3 for common.
