@NokiSkaur I can say with certainty that you're missing the point here. But I'll refrain from commenting this on the thread further for the time being. Mainly as I don't want to flood the thread.
@NokiSkaur The difference is that indestructible prevents the creature to die from damage, Unyielding does not prevent this.
For example. A 2/2 creature with Unyielding will die to a lightning bolt, the same creature with indestructible would not. The same is said about combat damage and all kind of damage. Regarding magma spray, The 2/2 would be exiled because it would die to the damage.
Unyielding is strictly worse than indestructible in a similar fashion as shroud is weaker than hexproof.
I see... that makes a lot more sense. It's basically an immunity from 'Destroy' effects. I was thinking of the Indestructible clause from Stuffy Doll, which reads almost exactly the same way.
Featuring my custom ability: Aligned - As long as the number of cards in your hand is equal to or greater than [card name's] converted mana cost, "effect".
Second entry featuring my custom ability: Tenacity N (Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, it gets +N/+N until end of turn.)
Mount N (Creatures you control have "{t}: mount this creature on [THIS MOUNT]." Creatures mounted on [THIS MOUNT] have "{t}: dismount this creature." Only N creatures can be mounted on [THIS MOUNT] at a time.)
Incubate X. (To incubate X, create a X/X colorless Husk creature token. When it dies, create a copy of this creature.) To clarify: When the husk dies, you create a copy of the creature that triggered incubate, in this case Chryssalid Warrior.
Colorbound "insert color here" (When you cast this spell, if you paid "insert color here", all permanents on the field will be "insert color" until the end of turn)
This only works with "optional dual color" cards (such as in lorwyn/shadowmoor and alara), but can be really helpful in certain aspects, such as when you'd be having a black deck facing another black deck and your creature destroy consists mainly out of destroy non-black for instance. There's lots of ways to make this interesting.
expansion on affinity, Affinity "insert color" (This spell costs you {1} less to cast for each "insert color here" permanent you control.)
As said this is just an expansion on the already wellknown affinity ability.
example combinations in for instance a grixis colored deck:
Here's a card, I designed for Xalys - Build a World with me, but since it has a mechanic, I designed, I want it as my second entry here as well. The mechanic is Pioneering - When this creature enters the battlefield, if you control no other creature, Effect
Final entry: Corrupt "number" ( When you cast this spell, exile "number" lands target opponent controls.)
Since this can actually be seen as a very crippling ability like annihilator was (which got banned nearly instantly) I thought that at most this ability's max would be 5
-I loved this card and the diving mechanic: Diving (When this creature blocks or becomes blocked, you may exile it and return it to the battlefield under its owner's control at the beginning of the next end step.) Now second place...
-This card was so unique and the Counter Strike mechanic very powerful and striking at any opponent: Counter strike (Whenever this creature is dealt combat damage by a creature you don't control, if the damage is less than this creature's toughness, it deals damage to the other creature equal to the difference.)
-This card is just my favorite. It uses blue trickery combined with sly and rogue countering as an instant, carefully removing a card for cheap price and great ability infused with mean denial. It stood out to me and I thought deserved to win this contest. Cadence -- If a player cast another spell this turn with the same converted mana cost as this spell, counter that spell instead.
Thanks for great entries and I hope you had a fantastic contest!
You should do another one of these. I just came up with a new mechanic for a set I'm working on and was going to submit when I saw that it ended yesterday. Good job to the winners though, nice entries. Also @SnoopDePoop, that card came from my other account, I forgot about it, and I could not stop laughing when I noticed it just loosely floating in this thread.

Meant for use with other archers.

Study N (Exile N target instant or sorcery cards from graveyards: Draw a card.)

But before we begin...
Honorable Mentions!
I know I forgot to add these in the contest description but I'll do these anyway!
So good job to everyone who entered! You are all honorable, but a few stood out to me.
