Planar experiment

A Simic wizard and an Izzet Guildmage have their spark ignite as they both fight and inadvertantly create something out of their magic. They team up and build a plane for this creature and try to experiment in order to find new possibilities for magic: using magic of different colors for unique things not usually found in that color.
If you look up planeshifted cards (timeshifted cards in Planar Chaos), you will find cards with a unique card border that is really another card, but in a different color, among other differences. This is what I'm looking for. Also crazy combinations thought impossible.
