The sound of human voices interrupted her thoughts. The eagle was getting more and more hesitant. Radhe looked down. They were nearing Crastine's walls, and she could make out the figures of the archers, who didn't look too happy to see her...
(meanwhile, on the walls of Crastine...)
"Anton, what approaches?"
"'Tis an eagle, Kristian. But I think there is something riding atop it."
"What? That is absurd!"
"Yet it is so."
"Give me the binoculars."
Anton handed them over. Kristian squinted through them.
"There is a girl riding on the eagle! So, the Stelladorans have started using eagles against us. They thought we wouldn't notice, eh? There is no time to waste. Marcus! Veldan!"
The two soldiers abandoned their strange game of cards, counters, and twenty-sided dice and ran over to Kristian. "Sir!"
"A Stelladoran spy approaches. Gather the troops. We have to bring her down, but do not injure the eagle. Am I understood?"
"Yes sir!" They ran off, sounding the alarm horn. The formidable Crastinian military began to show why it was so respected and feared. Vast ranks of men and women organised themselves almost in no time. Swords were sheathed, armour and bracers were donned, and crossbows were mounted as the Crastinian war machine oiled its gears.
The ranks of soldiers stood atop the wall, crossbows and spears pointed at the girl on the eagle.
"Land now and surrender, lest we shoot!"
The eagle conveyed a series of images to Radhe informing her about the prowess of these archers. Radhe realised it was probably better to land, and asked the eagle to drop her off at the gates. The archers' eyes followed her all the way through. Radhe got off, shouldered her pack, and thanked the eagle profusely for agreeing to fly her. The eagle stared back at her with concern.
"I'll be alright, don't worry! You get going."
With a few languid flaps, the eagle was off into the air, flying back to where it came from. Radhe walked towards the gate, preparing herself to inform these soldiers of who she was. They're just confused and are doing their job, I guess.
A heavily armoured guard walked towards her. Radhe began speaking to the woman. "Fear not! It is I, Radhe, the con—"
She never got to finish her sentence as an armoured glove wrapped around her face. Her pack was yanked loose. She could feel handcuffs being placed around her wrist.
"Examine the contents of that bag. Be careful: there could be untold sorceries placed upon it!"
Untold sorceries? What is wrong with this person? These Crastinians are living up to everything I've been told about them. "Excuse me, but I think you're mistaken!"
"Silence, spy!"
"Spy?!?!"
"Ma'am, these gemstones are unmistakeably Stelladoran!"
The guard turned to regard her. "Explain yourself."
"I told you, I'm the contestant Radhe. I'm in the semifinals of the current tournament. I'm registering a bit late, but that's okay, right?"
"You lie. The contestant Lady Radhe drowned in the sea when the Galatea was attacked by the dragonriders of your...people," said the guard, filling the word with all the disgust she could muster. A new thought occurred to her. "Perhaps you know of Lady Radhe's whereabouts. Magnus!"
Radhe had no time to explain as a massive hulk of a man wielding a fearsome looking morning star loomed over her.
"Magnus here has a special talent for interrogation. He will take good care of you, Stelladoran. To the isolation chambers with her, now!"
"Ingrid are you su—"
"Yes I am bloody sure," she snapped.
"But what if she is really..."
"Not a chance. Magnus, you know what to do. Don't have me flog you for insubordination."
Magnus furrowed his eyebrows before slinging Radhe onto his shoulder as though she were but a sack of onions. He walked off, oblivious to Radhe screaming and pounding his back. "I want to speak to someone else. Take me to Bristana! Tiamat! Sophie! They will all tell you who I am!"
"So there has been a lot of infiltration, I see, for these names to be known," Ingrid spoke. "Tell me, if you truly are Lady Radhe, why is it that we do not find a golden radish and an ugly grey flower among your possessions?"
"Because they were not with me when I dr—"
"Enough lies for a day! Magnus, away with her!"
Radhe wanted to weep. This wasn't the heroic welcome she was expecting.
Tiamat, Haide, Sophie and Vateria were having a break at a dining place called "The hungry lion" at the south coastline of Crastine. Timat looked up towards the palace in the center of Crastine. The fire angel Blazagni was hovering in the air above it. Her thoughts landed on Zaralim and then Vateria, two other champions.
"What happens when someone becomes champion?"
Haide who just brought another bottle said with joking voice "They become slaves to the gods!"
Vateria took the bottle and filled her own glass before Haide got the chance to fill her own. "No no. We don't become slaves. When we are crowned champions we are given a choice. Either we can travel home as powerful champions or we could stay and swear allegiance to Friyena and become her champions."
Tiamat took the bottle before Haide could reach it. "If I understand correct, there have been 15 people that has been crowned champion. How many are there left here, as Friyena's chosen."
Haide was almost crawling over the table to reach the bottle which Tiamat gave to Sophie. Sophie poured up her glass. "Twelve of the crowned champions swore allegiance to Frieyna on the moment they became champion. Two of those that declined came back later and swore their allegiance. Only one has ever declined the choice and gone home permanently."
"So there are 14 champions in Lisakdonia now. How comes it that so many choose to stay? Tiamat asked as Sophie passed the bottle by Tiamat to Vateria. Tiamat ran around the table to get the bottle.
Vateria poured up another glass. "You will understand why we choose to follow Friyena when you met her. We are for the moment 9 champions."
Haide was standing behind Vateria, ready to grab the bottle. Tiamat asked. "What happened to the other 5?"
Haide grabbed the bottle swiftly from Vateria's hands and returned to her seat. She tried to pour the content into the glass but the bottle was empty. "Because they are dead. Killed by the Stelladoran. Most of them was killed by their most dangerous dragon rider. Ammar Avitus, rider of Dracus Praevun or Akon Praveun, heir to the Margeficus as most Crastinians say. One of the largest and strongest Akon Caerakars there is. Ammar Avitus is so powerful that many believe him to be able to rival even the first champion."
Tiamat emptied her glass. "Who are the champions by the way?"
Sophie clapped her hands for another bottle. "There is a room specifically for the champions where they are all illustrated on paintings and such. I could show you that room sometime. But however, Vateria here is the 7th champion as you know. Blazagni there is the 3rd champion. Zaralim is the latest 15th champion. There is a smith somewhere in town named Johanna, she is the 9th. The 12th champion is a mad construct creating dwarf called Skaforlin. The 6th champion is a demon named Orkath. Next is the arcane mage named Ashelia, she's the 4th. The 14th is.."
"Eyy! Look! An eagle!... Someone seems to be riding on it." Haide had jumped up of her chair and pointed towards the eagle in the far distance.
"We could continue this tour of the champions another time. I should investigate who this eagle rider is." Vateria said while she raised up from her chair.
The four girls headed to the western gate which the eagle also headed towards. Haide took the new bottle with her.
Hey y'all, I'm going through a rough time in my life right now and will have difficulty being constantly active in MTGCardsmith, let alone this tournament. In the likely circumstances that my situation stays the same and R5-T4 is eliminated, I just want to say that it was a pleasure being part of this competition and screwing around with goblin mages. Good luck @Faiths_Guide, @Tenebris_Nemo, and @KalamMekhar!
( @Gelectrode - That's a pity. It's no fun when someone leaves in the middle of everything. I hope you'll get through the rough times soon and I wish you good luck as well!
It was fun to read your chapters. I'm going to miss ya! )
@Gelectrode That's sad to hear. It has been fun to have you and R5-T4 here. I have to thank you for joining the tournament and I hope that your life gets stable again quickly. Good luck!
I will continue to narrate the story with R5-T4 in case you would find some time and desire sometime. Otherwise you can read them afterwards. Once again. I wish you good luck friend.
( @Gelectrode: Things aren't gonna be so fun around here without your fun and witty pieces! I hope things get better for you soon, tAKe cArE, iZzeT MaGe!)
I want to live Continued from @KalamMekhar chapter on the Galatea
Her metal leg drew her down into the darkness. Beneath the surface she could see the dragons continue their attack. She fell deeper and deeper. It became colder, darker and the increasing pressure began to hurt her. The darkness consumed her and she could no longer see the surface, the Galatea, Tiamat nor any of the others. She ran out of air and it darkened for her eyes then everything became black.
She woke up. She was back in Trogon forest and it was as colorful as it had been the first day she had been there. She jumped around in happiness and everything felt good again. She noticed the pouch that Wardnan had given her before her fight against Kara. She picked it up and took out the seed within it. Then a cold wind swept past her and she heard someone call her name, someone evil. She looked towards the source and saw Zaralim in his monstrous state. Radhe backed away from him before she backed into a warped wooden ball. She looked at it and saw that it was the in that ball she had destroyed the Akon in an earlier dream. She held her hand onto the seed but it started to feel as the power was draining from it. The wrapped wooden ball in front of her began to unwrap itself revealing the crushed bloody Akon.
Radhe kept her distance to Zaralim but he did not walk towards her. He walked towards the dead Akon. "I have waited for so long for this opportunity, now it is finally here" He said as he sat down at the dead Akon. Then he plunged his teeth into it. Drinking the black blood of the beast.
Radhe backed off even further while Zaralim drank the blood from the Akon. When Zaralim was finished he stood up and began to laugh as he looked towards Radhe. Then another being began to laugh followed by another and before long there where tens of laughing voices. All came from Zaralim who began to, decay. His flesh dropped from his body, his cloth aged a hundred years in just a minute and his eyes burn up in a yellow flame. Radhe saw a bunch of laughing voices that covered Zaralim's now revealed body. His eyes where gone and his teeth were completely visible without his lips covering them. He looked like a skeleton with something that resembled hundred years of decayed flesh.
As he continued to laugh, the forest turned grey, dark and really cold. She then saw multiple Akons approach her from the forest. The forest turned even darker and colder than it been when she's been there before. She began to run away from Zaralim and the approaching Akons.
She ran and ran as far and fast as she could. She had to find the end of the forest or Legorna or anything. She looked back but did not see anyone. She knew however that they were approaching her, or could she simply not escape. She did not want to find out. Not yet. When she came to a river she saw some forests on the other side that was not dead. They were alive and colorful. She ran towards them and saw a young blinded girl that lied down towards a cliffside. She was heavily wounded with her right leg gone. Radhe wanted to help the girl but then she saw an Akon that approached her from the river. No. It did not approach her, it approached the girl. Radhe wanted to do something. Anything but the seed she had with her was powerless now. She saw the Akon approach the girl who crawled to the cliff wall. Then someone jumped down in front of her. "Keep away from her you foul beast of the abyss!!" It was a man with a large sword that hit the Akon in the head, leaving a large bleeding wound. The akon roared at the man. "Your abyssal screams won't break me monster! I am a chosen knight of goddess Friyena herself! I have destroyed monsters like you before just as I will destroy you now!" They fought each other for a while until the man won and buried his sword in the Akon's head.
Then the colorful trees around them was set ablaze and quickly burned up. The two humans turned to ash and blew away in the wind. Radhe then realized that it was her and Wardnan she had seen. She ran to the location they had disappeared and tried to give back life to the forest. It was really tough to give life to the forest and tears started to escape Radhe's eyes. For a short moment of desperation she succeeded and the two humans came back. The two watched at her with a short moment of joy. Then they looked up towards the black sky in fear. A huge dragon had appeared and flew down towards them. Radhe tried to run but it was too late. The dragon covered the whole forest in black fire. Everything turned black again for Radhe as the fire consumed her and she was gone again.
She woke up once again. This time the sun was shining and people were crying. She looked around and saw that she was at Sir Wardnan's funeral. She walked past the people and saw that she was not sitting where she should. She walked to the coffin and saw herself lie there. She was dead? She backed off and ran away. A hand grabbed Radhe's shoulder. She turned around and the world had changed again. She was a child again and she was at the river where she had seen Keralda. She did not recognize the woman who had put her hand on Radhe but she knew that it was Marianne. Keralda was singing in the background and Sir Wardnan walked towards Radhe. He embraced Radhe who began to cry. "I'm so sorry sir Wardnan. It is my fault that you died. I did never deserve anything you gave me. I did not deserve to have been saved by you."
"Oh Radhe. What are you talking about? You deserved everything I have ever given you. I even wished that I had given you more for you are a wonderful human being. Radhe. Don't put so much doubt and blame onto yourself. I want you to be happy in life and succeed with anything and everything that you want to do. You are a good person and if anyone should see that then it is you. I died because I chose to save a life, and I know that you will save even more lives than I ever could if you just trust yourself and believe that you can save those people."
Wardnan took his hands around and closing Radhe's who was holding the seed. "We can't save everyone but we can save many or we can save one particular person that we really care about. That is what I want from you. For you to choose yourself and believe in yourself. Now go. I am with Marianne and Keralda now. Don't worry about me. Now go Radhe and live how you choose to." Sir Wardnan released Radhe's hands and went together with Marianne down the river.
Radhe opened her hands and saw a small flower. Someone had approached Radhe and stood behind her. She felt a extremely mighty power equal to that of a thousand Akons within this person. She did not feel any evil though. She felt no cold nor did any of the plants around this person die. She turned around and saw a being in a black cloak. This one was also of bones as Zaralim but these bones did not give a feeling of fear. The being looked down at Radhe and at the flower.
Radhe reached the flower to this being.
"I want to live."
The flower in her hand fell apart and a light appeared before Radhe. The light consumed her and she was once again gone.
The match between R5-T4 and Mishra will be played tomorrow 22:00 CET as planned since I believe there is no need to make any adjustments to that time. @Faiths_Guide
@TenebrisNemo, and @KalamMekhar The match between Tiamat and Radhe is still planned to be played on Sunday Evening. Does this work well for both of you or would you like to have more time?
The waves from the ocean swept over Radhe's body, then back again. New waves swept onto her but as well returned. She lied completely still on a long shore of sand just beneath a great forest. Someone approached Radhe. "Hey? Hey! Are you okay? Radhe was still unconscious. The person patted on Radhe's back but no response. Then checked for any heartbeat but nothing. Then began to look through Radhe's pockets when the person dropped a water bottle in the head of Radhe and she woke up. Radhe pushed away the person and in a swift moment drew vines from the forest that wrapped around the person's legs and dragged the person up into a tree. The person was screaming.
Radhe tried to gather herself. What had happened. What is a dream? She looked at the water bottle. She opened it and took a sip for it before she recalled the screaming person. She then looked at the person who was trapped in the vines in the trees. It was a man, no a boy. He looked rather scared as he hanged there and screamed. "What is going on? You did not have a heartbeat. I thought you were dead. I'm very sorry. Now help. please?"
"Oh right" Radhe dropped him down from the trees. A little to fast. The man hit his head and fainted.
A few moments later the man woke up. Radhe was sitting beside him. "Are you okay?"
"Am I okay? You are the one that was almost dead at the shore earlier. How did you get here in the first place?"
"Oh, well I was on a ship on our way to Crastine. We got attacked by some people on dragons and I fell of the ship. Then... What are you doing?"
The man had stood up after he heard the first half. He walked to his bow and readied an arrow. "So you are Lisakdonian?"
"What? No I am just in the tournament game. I am not an enemy."
The man removed the arrow as he started to draw heavy breaths. "Oh by dragon wings. You are no enemy? I thought I would be destroyed like earlier for a moment there."
"Wait so you are a Stelladoran then? Like those dragonriders. I am very sorry for what I did to your friends. They attacked us and I had to defend us. I'm sorry."
"What!? no! wait what? Yes yes I am stelladoran but no. I'm no dragonrider. I'm just a simple hunter. If you had to harm them a little it was probably right for them. Those self important dragonriders fly around as the own the place! Or well they actually do kind of own the place... But that is not the point! Those dragonriders think they are so cool and tough on their dragons. Oh look at me I got a big dragon and a long lance, I'm so cool, can fly faster than a horse with firetail. But well. Ok they are kind of cool, and tough, and honorable and stuff. But they are still douchebags! Some of them."
"You sound a little jealous."
"jealous? me? Ha no! I'm not jealous. You're jealous! Why would I be jealous of those dragonriders? They are just so..... What do they know? "oh Arvon you don't have a strong enough heart to become a dragonrider." As if I ever wanted to... What do you laugh for? You don't even have a dragon. You don't have a dragon right?
"No I don't have a dragon."
"Well neither do I. But a dog once, before the lisakdonian took her from me."
"Ooh. I'm very sorry. I know how it feels to lose someone dear."
Oh no. She is not dead. She's just taken. She's probably some guard dog at a lisakdonian outpost now or something."
After some time, Arvon came to the conclusion that they should probably get to town instead of spending the rest of their lives at that beach. Radhe presented herself and explained what she did in the world. Arvon also presented himself as Arvon Wheetle. A stelladoran hunter.
They went to a small town less than half an hour from the beach where Radhe was presented to an old druid woman who would give her much new knowledge. She also got to knew that Arvon's hospitality towards her was not something to expect from others in Stelladora.
Krautus appeared an honest, hardworking simpleton that wasn't actually involved, and Johanna wasn't really an issue. Mishra had detested the "assistance" he'd received ever since the first package. He'd studied the aktorium material while in Lagorna and had developed a superior way to treat it for his purposes. Specially equipped Assembly-Workers had already been designed to perform this treatment, and now Johanna had told him how to procure more. As you might expect, Mishra couldn't care less for her cause or profession, and he had no intention of supplying the female with the metal she required. It would be simple to gather the aktorium himself and tell Johanna that he'd been unable to fix the distribution problem then begin refining the metal in his own quick and consistent method.
(a bit jumbled, but it's all I had time for, I'll be back with more ASAP.)
Tiamat walked up the stairs with Nathan behind her to a wooden terrace, which had many round tables with white tablecloths on the right side. Golden candlesticks were on each table, and each one of them had a white burning candle. Only a few people were eating and chattering quietly at some tables in the middle. There was also a hooded minstrel at one of the corner tables, playing a lute and singing a song about "The Maiden and the Minstrel Knight."
On the left side of the terrace was the building, where the meals were made. Tiamat walked to the other corner table, where she was with Nathan before the bells tolled. She sat down onto the chair, which was facing the building. Nathan sat down onto the other one at the opposite side of the table. Then both of them started to look what to drink and eat from the menu.
A dark-haired waitress came from within the building and started walking to Nathan's and Tiamat's table. She had a red dress with golden patterns and she was carrying a wooden tray. Tiamat noticed that the approaching woman had long, sharp ears and eyebrows.
An elven waitress?
When the cheerful elf arrived, she welcomed them to the food place and asked their order. Nathan ordered the same which he had last time; salmon and wine made from passion fruit. Tiamat wanted chicken with apples and pears. She also wanted the same drink as Nathan. The elven waitress thanked them and walked back to the building. Nathan turned his head at Tiamat.
"Oh, don't worry about the price. I'll pay this time for real."
"How about that we pay it together?"
Nathan looked at Tiamat, who was holding the coin pouch, which she got from Caron two days ago, then he nodded. Tiamat put the pouch back into her leather bag, then she looked over the wooden railing, which was on her right side. The stars and the moon reflected from the dark blue river, which flowed silently into the ocean. Nathan stared at Tiamat's golden hair, pale skin, and light-blue eyes for a moment.
"So you're a daughter of a human and of a dragon?"
She turned her head back at Nathan. "Yes. My mother is a great, green dragon and my father was a brave warrior of our kingdom. Before I was born, my mother used to change into her human form and visit the cities, which are next to her home. She is many hundred years old and capable to cast powerful spells."
"And on one fateful day, she met your father?"
Tiamat nodded. "My mother met him when he returned to the capital with other warriors after their journey in the north. They fell in love and they used to meet each other every time when she visited the city. This continued for weeks until she found out that he was a dragonslayer."
Nathan leaned onto the table with his hands crossed. "This sounds like a theater script!"
"He was an elite warrior under the service of the king, and a sworn hunter of dragons. My mother believed she couldn't open her heart completely to him and that they weren't meant to be together. One day she stopped visiting the capital completely. But my father didn't know the truth. He desperately searched for my mother around the kingdom for months until he found her in a small village next to her home."
"What happened next?"
"She revealed the truth to my father, but it didn't stop his feelings. He abandoned his position in the kingdom and started a new life within the wilderness with my mother. She seldom changed into her dragon form during their first years together... and their last."
The elf returned to Tiamat's and Nathan's table. She gave them the meals and the wine bottle from her tray.
"Enjoy your meals," she said while smiling, then she walked to another table, where some other customers were ready to leave.
Nathan took their cutlery and drinking glasses from the edge of the table. Then Nathan opened the wine bottle and poured its content into his and Tiamat's glasses. He took a sip of the golden wine afterward.
Tiamat took a large swig of wine from her glass and put it down. "Twelve years ago, the king's soldiers found our home and my father. They declared him as a traitor to the whole kingdom for defending 'a fire breathing abomination' and for breaking his oath as a dragonslayer. I was seven years old back then."
The dragon girl picked a chicken leg from her plate with her left hand, then she took a large bite of warm and juicy meat. When she swallowed it, she continued.
"My father didn't want the soldiers to harm me, so he and my mother defended our home from the king's soldiers. When the first soldiers were dead, the dragonslayers were coming. My mother and I had to abandon our home and leave. My father, who was once praised as a hero in the kingdom, was killed by his old, fellow dragonslayers as he stopped them from following us deeper into the wilderness."
"What a tragedy," Nathan said, then he took another piece of salmon with his fork. "I know how it feels to lose a loving father at a young age."
"But your loss has been greater. When we talked last time, you said that your both parents died sixteen years ago."
"I did?"
"Yeah."
Nathan took another sip from his glass. "I don't know why I said that. My father, Anthony von Moxartine, did die sixteen years ago during the 'rebellion of Sirkonda'. Few years later, my mother, Beatrice Von Moxartine, left Legorna with my sister, and they moved to Crastine."
Tiamat's eyes widened as she smiled. "You have a sister?"
"Yep," Nathan said and smiled brightly. "A pesky little sister who is a wizard, just like me. Our father started to teach us how to cast spells when we were starting to learn how to speak..."
The dragon girl and the wizard talked about their pasts for hours while eating the tasty food of Legorna's Heat and Sweet. Nathan told her about how he learned to cast momentary illusions when he was eight years old and how he managed to create his first permanent illusion at the age of thirteen. Tiamat in turn told him how her father taught her to wield a greatsword when she was six years old.
Ever since her father's death, Tiamat hadn't had anyone else except her mother. She slightly envied Nathan. Even though his mother and sister left Legorna when he was twelve years old, there was another family who helped him through his first years alone in Moxartine family's house. The Frondel family, the family of Clementia.
When most population of Legorna were asleep, Nathan escorted Tiamat back to her house through the quiet night. Only a few watchmen were patrolling the streets with lanterns and some street cats ran in the shadows of buildings. Tiamat was holding Nathan's hand as they silently walked to the residential buildings. When they got to the front door of her house, Tiamat walked to it, then she turned around and looked at Nathan.
"I've never talked about myself to another human," she said with a little sad look in her face. "In my world, they would try to avoid me the moment they know that I'm half dragon."
Nathan took a step closer to Tiamat, then he took her left hand with his right hand. "That must be awful."
Tiamat looked into Nathan's eyes and smiled a little. "I'm glad you listened, talked, and kept me company. It means a lot to me."
He nodded and smiled. "It was my pleasure."
After a few seconds, Nathan's smile faded as his face turned serious. The dragon girl's smile faded as well.
"Tiamat..."
"Yes?"
His face slightly turned red as he took another step closer to Tiamat. "May I have a look at your teeth?"
"What?"
Tiamat's face also turned red. Her heart started to beat slightly faster.
"I want to see how long your canine teeth are," Nathan said.
A little moment later, Tiamat closed her eyes and started to open her mouth. But when it was only slightly open, she could feel as if something soft went to her lips. She immediately opened her eyes. Nathan's face was so close to her as he was kissing Tiamat. Her face turned even more red, then she closed her eyes again and continued to kiss him. Nathan's left hand was on Tiamat's waist while his right hand was holding her left hand. Tiamat's right hand was on Nathan's left cheek. They continued kissing for a minute. After that, Tiamat hugged Nathan tightly.
"I... can't... breathe!"
Tiamat released him. "Sorry! Sorry... I got excited."
Nathan smiled and stroked Tiamat's cheek. She smiled back, then she turned around and opened the door of her house.
"Good night, Nathan. Thank you for this wonderful night."
As Tiamat stepped into her house, Nathan bowed at her. "Good night, Tiamat," he whispered before walking to the harbor's direction.
Tiamat walked to her bed. Her heart was still beating rapidly. She took off her clothes and her golden tiara, then she went under her bed's blanket. She didn't think about the forest or the drake anymore. A whole different thoughts and memories filled her mind as she fell asleep.
A hooded figure with a skull mask was standing on the roof of a tall building, which was next to the residential buildings. He could easily see how Tiamat went into her house. The silver gibbous moon was shining behind him as he took an envelope from his pocket. It had Tiamat's name on it.
"Be sure to attend your last match, human dragon..."
When the girls had arrived at the western gates, they asked for the person that had been riding on the eagle. By just the explanation, Tiamat knew it was Radhe. Vateria ordered the girl to be released and join the girls. Magnus was revealed to not have been able to begin his work when the girl was ordered to be freed. Ingrid was angry that her orders where stopped so easily by Vateria but she was powerless to do anything due to her being a champion. Radhe was happy to see the girls again. Tiamat showed Radhe where they lived and gave back Radhe's belongings to her.
-------------------------------------------
At another time and another location: There were many strange people in the old district but the district was not cut from it's connections. Some of the people here have many threads far up. The spider as he is called have threads so far up he could even arrange missions for some of the champions.
"Dear Bristana, what you are asking of me. That requires something a little heavier. ... Ahh now it starts to look like something. An expensive price maybe but what are we not willing to pay for justice? You will have your champion on your designated location at the specified time. Now everything else is up to you and the girls. Have fun."
"Of pure generosity for old friendship, you will as well have this packaged delivered the same morning. No one is allowed to see it being delivered, not even our champion friends. Is that clear?"
"you really makes me miss having you amongst my ravens Bristana. Of pure generosity. Yeah, for old friendship."
The day had arrived. The day for the first semifinal between R5-T4 and Mishra.
The four contestants walked on the bridge between the plateau and the palace. Sophie was guiding them as this was the first time they would set fot within the palace itself. There were for some reason no civilians in sight, only guards, leaders of the political organs and some other people. They entered the palace which was guarded by guardians of the queen and some very high ranked military personnel. They walked through a huge corridor, to the right was the queen's throne room, also that one guarded. To the left was a long room with a dining table and later a parliament room. The group of five walked up some stairs to a large circular room. "This is the champions' room." Sophie said as the passed through. Around the room where sixteen large painting resembling respectively champion, except the last one, The 16th painting which was empty. Some of paintings had weapons displayed above or below them. Probably some kind of memorial.
The room was followed by another corridor which led to a huge room of godly significance. At the other side of the room was seventeen "thrones" located. Higher numbered thrones was located towards the ends while the lowered numbers where located near the middle with number one being in the direct middle, in from of another large throne. Most of the thrones where occupied by their repsectively owner. Vateria sat in the 7th chair. Johanna and Skaforlin sat in the 9th and 12th chair. Blazagni sat in the 3rd chair. Some woman, probably Ashelia sat in the 4th chair. The 6th, 14th and 15th that should be occupied was empty. In the central seat sat a black humanoid knight and behind and above him on the large throne sat the goddess Friyena herself. She had red-golden hair and a magical circle of some kind of magic hovering behind her. She had large wings which comforted a small girl with purple eyes she had sitting on her knee. Friyena said something to the girl who then jumped off. She did not run towards the exit but to the 14th seat which she sat down in. "Is that little girl a champion??" A confused Radhe asked Sophie. "The 14th champion Jessica. Don't judge her for her size or appearing age. She is said to be the second or third most powerful of the champion, second only to the first in black armor here."
Friyena stood up from her throne. "Contestants of the 16th tournament. I, Friyena, welcomes you." She then took flight and glided towards the contestants. She landed before them. Her wings and the weird halo dissapeared in a golden glow. She shrunk and her hair lost its golden color leaving only red. She now looked exactly like the red haired woman from Legorna. "Let's skip the formalities. I hope you all have had a really good time both on your trip and in Crastine until now. Specially you Radhe who finally found your way home." she said with a warming smile. "Now, let me show you the arena" They followed Friyena to another room beside that room. This room was small and circular with a many circles on the floor in the middle. Similar in style to some in the dome outside Legorna. "Contestant R5-T4. Would you please go into the central circle?" R5-T4 did so and when he stood there, Friyena spoke some words in some other language. The circles beneath R5-T4 began to glow and the floor began to become a liquid. R5-T4 began to sank down. "Good luck R5-T4" When R5-T4 had sunk down completely into the liquid. The liquid began to sink down into a hole in the ground. R5-T4 was now somewhere completely elsewhere in an open field with rocky mountains in one directions. A forest in one direction. Ocean in another and some stone structures that resembled a city in one. A swamp beside the forest and a large plain in one direction. Different environments for any kind of match.
After a little while a liquid figure began to form on a distance from R5-T4 close to the city area. The liquid sank down and revealed Mishra. Some new liquid forms appeared and revealed assembly workers and some equipment for him.
Nothing followed thereafter. No audience's cheering. No one to declare the match. Nothing. Only R5-T4 and Mishra with his assembly workers.
(Note: I'm going to make the assumption that Mishra and his assembly workers are now or reinforced with the aktorium infused metal.)
Mishra had six assembly workers of the aktorium metal with him and some equipment in case he would need to assembly something additional for some reason. Mishra: "You disappoint me R5-T4. I gave you an opportunity to remain hidden and yet you get discovered by Thibble's soldiers. Thus I don't believe this match to be necessary and I see it best if you surrender this match directly." R5-T4: "No" Mishra: "It was a recommendation and an order. If you can't even remain hidden with my configuration I see no point in this match either since you obviously cannot follow simple instructions." R5-T4 "YoU arE JUsT lIkE maSTeR Thibble. You DoN't cArE FOr mE. Skaforlin Had GIveN mE a ChanCe to bE mu OWn MasTEr. I ShaLL Not TakE orDeRs anYMoRe." Mishra: "You dare to defy me? Well then. This match shall be an excellent opportunity to test out my upgraded armor and assembly workers against a powerful foe. Before I make spare parts out of you."
---------------------------------------
The assembly worker flew straight into the stone structure with high speed. As the construct hit the wall, R5-T4 followed up with another hit that pushed the assembly worker straight through the structure which fell apart thereafter. R5-T4 had already denied Mishra any chance to assembly anything else as he had destroyed the equipment before he was interrupted by the assembly workers.
Mishra remained in his armor for the whole time as this opponent was far more powerful and swift than his earlier rogue opponents. Two other assembly workers tried to help the other one while the remaining three stood in position around Mishra. The attacked assembly worker raised itself up after the impact. It seemed as if there was nothing R5-T4 could do to harm them and it would only be a question of time before his energy reserve had been depleted. The two assembly workers attacked R5-T4 but where both hit and thrown into another stone structure. The first assembly worker was still undamaged but something was strange about it. It started to move in a weird pattern. It tried to fight R5-T4 but was struck into the rock floor with a powerful strike.
R5-T4 continued to attack the other two farther away. After some moments the first assembly worker stood up again but now it was clearly something wrong with it as it was shaking and vibrating violently. It moved towards the fight but its movements were very hindered by the vibrations. Then it exploded with a powerful blast in a cloud of metal shrapnel. "WHAT!?" the fight between the other two assembly workers and R5-T4 continued. One of the two had begun to vibrate as well. Both were struck into another structure followed by another strike through it. The two assembly workers landed just beside each other further away. After just a short moment the one who had vibrated earlier exploded as well followed by the other one too from that impact.
It was clearly something wrong with the aktorium metal. Had Johanna lied to him? It was only Mishra and his three assembly workers left now. Mishra could not allow this fight to go on for much longer so he would fight R5-T4 together with his assembly workers.
R5-T4 was able to control four opponents at the same time even though it did not go as easy as against the earlier ones. Once in a while, he got a powerful hit on either the assembly workers or Mishra. Mishra had to plan something for this was not a match in his favor anymore. After being hit by some powerful strikes, Mishra noticed that his armor began to become hot and vibrate. It began to hurt and R5-T4 did not seem to become too much weaker except for some larger dents and cracks. Two of the assembly workers had also begun to vibrate. R5-T4 Slammed one of the vibrating assembly workers into the ground and then he jumped towards Mishra. Mishra lowered his mass center and took the impact as he grabbed R5-T4 as tight as he possibly could. The armor began to vibrate violently now and the heat began to burn Mishra's cloths underneath. While Mishra held R5-T4 the other three assembly workers jumped to the construct and grabbed him as tight as they could without letting go. Mishra released his grip and ran a short distance before he jumped out of the suit before a corner. He fell down onto the ground behind the corner.
One of the vibrating assembly workers that held onto R5-T4 exploded, followed by the other two as well. Mishra's armor exploded thereafter behind the corner. Some large piece of metal flew into another wall with a heavy sound. Mishra was hit by just a very few shrapnel and he was grounded without any means to walk as his armor and thus his wheelchair was destroyed. Mishra looked back and saw one piece of metal still unharmed. The same piece he had received from Johanna while he was still in Legorna. R5-T4's core was almost completely destroyed by the explosions and thus inactive. Mishra had won but he felt humiliated and more crippled than he had felt in a very long time.
----------------------
The remains of R5-T4 and Mishra were carried through the portal back to Crastine. Johanna stood there and welcomed Mishra back. "I see that you won the match without my help Mishra. I also see that the you actually succeeded in receiving the aktorium. What you did not succeed in was to speak and understand the metal. You see mishra. Ordinary metals, armors and weapons when hit by a huge impact are exposed to lots of energy. This energy is often transformed into deformations such as dents or even cracks but also heat. Aktorium however does neither deform nor crack so the energy remains within the metal until it becomes too much and it breaks the whole pieces. This is not a problem when exposed to lesser attacks but if you face someone as powerful as R5-T4 the metal won't hold. Simplified, what I do is that I ask the metal for what amongst others what resonance it likes and then I infuse it with magic for that resonance that can handle the energy. If you want to continue with the deal, you'll know where to find me."
Skaforlin took care of R5-T4 and went to repair him and bring him back, better than before.
This was probably not too surprising regarding the current conditions. When I went back to read the chapters I realised some things. For the first. This match was not as decisive as I first thought. It was not completely even but I wonder. It was over two weeks ago the last match was played. (And 4 weeks since R5-T4's last match!) If I hadn't taken such long time. Would the result been different? I don't know. It does however create a kind of story writing fatigue for I would assume all of you which may affect these results.
Both of these characters have really good card design and character influence. Mishra does have a signature card which R5-T4 sadly dosen't.
@Gelectrode R5-T4 may have lost this match but his time in the tournament is not over yet. I will have a bronze match a little further into the future. If you have gotten your life into a good position and you are willing to return here, then you are very much welcome back to try fight for the bronze. Regardless of which. I wish you very much good luck!
It is late in the evening. Tiamat, Radhe and Bristana are waiting in the meeting room in the Villa. Radhe is taking care of her grey peacekeeper. Tiamat is humming "The Maiden and the Minstrel Knight" song. Bristana is sitting at the fireplace while she holds Zaralim's dagger in her hands. The only sounds aside from Tiamat's humming came from the fire and the fountain outside. The Villa was except for the three girls empty. R5-T4 is being repaired by Skaforlin, Mishra is probably reconstructing his armor with the help of Johanna.
The hours passed by and soon after midnight a raven landed in the open window. It had a piece of paper wrapped around its leg. Bristana stood up from her chair, went to the raven and unwrapped the piece of paper. The raven flew away as soon as Bristana gave a waving move to it. "It is time." The girls prepared themselves and then went out in the midnight.
There was a tension amongst the girls which Radhe tried to break with some minor jokes but neither Tiamat nor Bristana seemed to be in the mood for jokes. After a 15 minutes or so Radhe felt that someone or something was following them. She told the others. Tiamat had too much on her mind to think about it and Bristana did not seem to care or she already knew about it.
After an additional 20 or so minutes they arrived in the old district. A little later they arrived at the designated location at a 3-way crossing around some burnet down houses. No one would interfere with them here nor would any civilian come to harm. Tiamat took position in the middle of the crossing while Bristana and Radhe went separated ways. Then they waited.
I was very tired so I fell asleep yesterday and thus was a little unable to finish the next blood price part. Since both Blood price and Stelladora might be important backstories for Tiamat and Radhe I want to have these finished or at least summarized before the match.
Also since I still lack one of your champion card and both signature cards I see it as almost neccesary to move the match for comfort's sake.
So the match between Tiamat and Radhe will be played on Tuesday the 20th 20:00 CET instead.
I plan on playing the bronze match next Saturday the 24th. This might get thight but I do not demand much story behind this one since it is not really "canon".
Then the final will be played during the whole weekend thereafter, Friday - Sunday (30th-1st). This match will be special since I will during the match let you take control of your champions (if you want to) during one or multiple occasions.
Signature cards: I have earlier mentioned that you will be allowed two signature cards for the last match. (both bronze and final) at max 5 and 7 mana cost. I have changed my mind once again regarding these and will now accept any card type at any color, except planeswalker. So creatures are now allowed. I will also give you another option for the manacost. Either two cards of maximum 5 and 7 or one card with maximum 9. Both options will have the same influence.
So two signature cards with some connection to the champion. Cannot be a planeswalker! The maximum mana cost will be 5 and 7 OR one at max 9. You may keep your current signature cards and use them for the lat match.
Tiamat was sitting the crossway. She looked in the direction of the path that led to the more central districts of Crastine. The surrounding area was abandoned by the fire that had been released her not too many days ago after Radhe had returned. After a while Tiamat heard steps on the stone road ahead. Someone was approaching her. Tiamat stood up and readied her weapon and stance. Zaralim came forth between the burnt housed and stopped in the middle of the crossroad. He held a dark blade. He looked at Tiamat, he then looked to the left and right before he took out a pouch and took a bite into it. Glowing red blood was dripping from the pouch as Radhe and Bristana approached them from the other roads. When Zaralim was finished he dropped the empty pouch and drew a long red sword similar to the dagger Bristana now had. Zaralim pointed with the dark blade at Tiamat then he pointed at Bristana and Radhe with the red blade.
That was indication enough for Tiamat, she had to not allow either Bristana nor Radhe to be hit. Tiamat jumped at Zaralim with high speed with her sword behind her back. She swung at zaralim who easily blocked the attack but as the blocked a bunch of crows flew down behind him and attacked him. He swung with the red blade and the crows and managed to kill a couple of them. This gave Tiamat another opportunity to try a low strike but Zaralim managed to dodge it easily while still being attacked by the crows. A wolf came running out of the shadows and jumped onto Zaralim, disturbing his balance. Tiamat took her free hand and hit Zaralim in the face while she swung the sword with her other. The wolf was still biting Zaralim's leg so he had difficulties to move but managed to dodge the sword enough for the wound he got to not be too deep.
Zaralim tried to grab the wolf but it jumped away quicker than he could grab it. Zaralim then changed his focus to Radhe. He jumped towards her still with the crows around him. Tiamat tried to catch him but he was faster. Some vines from the house beside them extracted and grabbed Zaralim who had to move his balance to strike it down. Enough time was given for Tiamat to catch up and swing at him. More vines came from the house and grabbed Zaralim's legs. He lost his balance but managed to almost block the attack with his sword. Tiamat still managed to make a wound through Zaralim's leg.
Zaralim took a both his swords and swung them at the surrounding vines and crows with great speed. He then swung with his dark blade at Tiamat but she had a better stance and blocked the attack with a down directed swing. She moved into Zaralim and grabbed his shoulder holding the dark blade firmly. The wolf attacked him in the back as she then swung up and cut a deep wound through Zaralim. Zaralim fell back but this time ha managed to grabbed the wolf. He took a bite of the screaming wolf and then the threw the body at Radhe who was not fast enough to dodge it. The dead wolf fell on top of her. Zaralim then moved his attention to Tiamat. He attacked her with great speed. It did not seem as the deep wound had hindered his movements much if at all. Tiamat was not able to block his attacks fault free when he was not disturbed by anything else. His sword swung past Tiamat's blocking sword towards her chest but was hindered before it could hit her by another vine that had grabbed his arm. Before putting his attention to the vine he kicked Tiamat in the head with a jumping kick.
Tiamat who did not expect a kick lost her balance but during this. Radhe had managed to grab Zaralim's free remaining limbs with new vines, forcing him down. Bristana took her chance now. She drew the black dagger and ran to Zaralim behind him. Zaralim was unable to dodge the attack and Bristana buried the dagger deep into his neck. In a furious attempt, Zaralim ripped the vines apart and managed to become free. The poison however was spreading through his body. Bristana backed off a little from him. Radhe looked up from beneath the wolf. She noticed that Zaralim took out another pouch and took a bite in it. "Stop him!" Radhe shouted as she noticed black blood dripping from the pouch. "Bristana! Stop him now!!"
But Bristana did not stop him. She just backed off further from him. "You do not deserve death Zaralim." Bristana said while still backing off.
Radhe grew new vines to grip Zaralim while she also summoned a bunch of wolves, crows and even a bear to attack Zaralim. Tiamat stood up and ran towards Zaralim once again but she was too late. Zaralim's eyes began to glow yellow and his skin turned dark while wings began to grow from his back. The vines around him turned grey and died while the air became cold. Tiamat did hit him straight on with her sword but his skin was too difficult to make serious wound in now. Zaralim hit Tiamat with his fist which threw her straight into a surrounding house and then down onto the stone road. Zaralim very easily broke the vines and slashed straight through the approaching wolves and crows. While he was still transforming he ripped straight through the bear that was attacking. Radhe tried to summon more animals but all met the same fate. Zaralim who now had become something between a vampire and an Akon then turned to Tiamat. He approached her while she tried to get up from the stone rubble she lied in. Zaralim raised his arm below his shoulder to rip into Tiamat as he approach. To Bristana’s spoken words something or someone ran past Radhe towards Zaralim.
Tiamat was trapped under the stone rubble. She tried to crawl out of the stone pile but Zaralim approached her faster than she could crawl. She took too some of the building stones and threw them at him but he easily deflected them. She tried to reach her sword but it was out of reach. Zaralim was now at her and raised his claw to attack her. Tiamat took a stone to try block Zaralim's attack. The strike came, but it was very light and wide and did not break Tiamat's guard at all. She looked and saw herself covered in black blood. Someone had penetrated a sword through Zaralim's chest. It was her sword. The person who seemed to be a black knight drew out Tiamat's sword by throwing Zaralim into a building wall further away.
Zaralim had crashed through the wall but quickly stood up again. The wound in his chest did heal quickly. He roared in a terrifying scream. Radhe recognized that scream from the Akon that had attacked her in Legorna. Bristana ran and helped Radhe move the dead wolf from her. Zaralim dashed towards the knight with his claws in the road creating a cload of flying stones benath him. Tiamat tried to cover from the approaching stones. Zaralim flew into the knight with very high speed and Tiamat could feel the power of the impact from where she lied. The knight blocked the impact with Timat's sword and was not moved back, not even a centimeter. Zaralim tried another strike with the other arm but the knight was faster and struck the sword up, down and horizontally on Zarlim who was unable to block the three attacks.
The black blood covered the whole street but Zaralim was not finished, not even close. He moved in towards the knight, preventing him from making another swing. Zaralim lowered his head to bite the knight but the knight took a grip on Zaralim and threw him down into the stone road breaking the stones before he threw him into another wall. Zaralim once again stood up from the rubble but it looked like his wounds had not healed as quickly this time. Zaralim took flight with his wings and flew high into the sky. Before Zaralim had flied high enough the knight took Tiamat's sword and threw at him. The sword hit Zaralim straight on and he dropped down onto the stone roads. The knight walked towards Zaralim before he could stand up. He took Tiamat's sword from Zaralim's chest and the cleaved his wings off. Zaralim screamed in pain. The knight dropped Tiamat's sword and began to walk towards where he had come from.
Zaralim stood up. He was bleeding heavily as the wounds did heal slow now. He kicked Tiamat's sword away before he walked to his black and red swords. The knight stopped and looks back at Zaralim who just had picked up his swords. He roared once again and then sprinted towards the knight with his swords ready. The knight now drew his own sword waited for Zaralim's attack. Zaralim attacked with both swords at the same time. The knight swing his sword at Zaralim's red sword. As they clashed the red sword kind of exploded and took half of Zaralim's arm with him. Before Zaralim could react the knight had cut off the other arm as well. Zaralim fell armless down onto the road. The knight took Zaralim's head and hit it down into the stones. Radhe could hear Zaralim's skull crack under the knight’s hand. Blood was pouring out of his mouth and nostrils.
"William! That's enough."
Radhe recognized that voice. From the road came Friyena in her humanlike form but her hair was golden red this time. She had Vateria beside her. William had released Zaralim and now stood up. Tiamat had crawled out of the stone pile which she was trapped under then she went to get her sword before she walked to Radhe and Bristana. Vateria approached them, she looked at them and back at Zaralim. Tiamat could not tell if she was disappointed, afraid or happy.
Friyena healed the arms back onto Zaralim "Why do you do this to me?" She then put her hands on his head, spoke some words and they began to glow. A weak yellow flame burnt the abyssal being back to his original form. "Zaralim, tell me. Do you love me" She asked while looking straight at him. Zaralim looked back at her, then at Tiamat and the others as he forcefully said. "Yes" Friyena stood up. "I see. Vateria, could you please escort Lady Radhe and Tiamat back to their Villa. Bristana, could you stay for a moment?"
Bristana said good night to the girls before she walked to Friyena. Vateria bowed to Friyena and escorted the girls home.
As they walked back to the Villa. Tiamat asked Vateria who that knight was. "William, the first of Friyena's champions and her most powerful chosen. The most powerful warrior in all of Lisakdonia. Some say that he sold his soul for his love to Friyena." Radhe did not have to ask anything about him. She had heard enough from the Stelladorans, especially Elaine. Just like the Lisakdonians hated Ammar. The Stelladoran hated William for if their stories about him, what he had done where true. Then Tiamat and Radhe had not seen a quarter of his true power tonight.
Later in the Villa, when Tiamat prepared herself for bed her mind came started to realize what they had done and what they where in risk for. What if they had not accomplished anything? Zaralim was still alive. What if they would be disqualified from the tournament for attacking a champion? What if Bristana is blamed for everything and is executed? What did Bristana mean with "you deserve worse" when she spoke to Zaralim? What if Zaralim decides that they are too dangerous to live and attacks them before they are prepared? The obviously wants him alive otherwise William could have easily killed him. But they knew the risks before and they were willing to take them. Bristana knows what she is doing hopefully. She made sure to have the grey peacekeeper beside the bed. She crawled into the bed and closed her eyes.
Radhe would spend the next day with the old druid while Arvon Wheetle had been sent out to hunt again as he had failed with his last one. She got to know from the old woman that Vazhendra, the town they were in was not directly influenced in the war since it was not of military significance, so Radhe would not have to be too afraid to reveal who she was unless someone from the military would show up. Among these would be the dragon riders. The only thing of significance in Vazhendra was it close to the great forest of the purple blossom, the forest of Vazhendra.
"Could I see this forest?" Radhe asked. "Well of course my dear" The old lady did respond. They went out and walked in the other direction than Radhe had approached the town last day. They approached another forest in not more than 5 minutes. The forest did look somewhat familiar but it was the feelings in her gut that made hur put the tongue on it. "This forest. I have felt this feeling before. In Legorna."
"The western forest of the yellow blossom, like they call it, Forest of Trogons."
Radhe looked surprised at her. "How do you know of Trogon forest?"
"It's very simple dear. They are both homes to the same goddess, Keralda"
"Is not Keralda a god of Lisakdonia, why would she have a home here?"
"Dear oh dear. you are not wrong. Keralda and all the gods. Levirga, Terrodus, Decaotus and even Friyena are gods of Lisakdonia. The realm of the gods, realm of the living, realm of the dead but no longer realm of the abyss."
"What are you saying?"
"Lisakdonia was once the name of the whole world in which we live in. A couple of hundreds of years ago the Crastinien kingdom took the name, Lisakdonia, as they believed that they were the true kingdom of this world. So the name Lisakdonia fell to just a kingdom. The only ones that still refer the world as Lisakdonia are Keralda, Levirga and Terrodus. None who have taken side in this conflict of ours."
Radhe did not ask anything more. She wanted to wait with further questions to another time. Now she wanted to examine this forest who kind of called for her.
The following days she returned to the forest again and again. It changed her somehow that she herself could not really explain. Or it just made her realize hidden potential she had since earlier, since... sometime. the dreams? On the fourth day Radhe decided to join Arvon in his hunt in the other forest closer to the coast. It did not take long before she went off in her own direction and completely forgot of the hunting. She had heard that the mangoes where delicious here and she wanted to try them out. It would take a long time though before she could find anything but a berry vine as well as a deer.
---------------------------------------
Radhe woke up to the sound of a roaring dragon in the distance. It sounded like one the dragons from the attack some days before. She hurried out of bed and put on her clothes and went out to defend herself and the town. She calmed down rather quickly when she saw that the people did not fear the approaching dragon but instead welcome it. In the distance a blue dragon approached with a red cloaked rider. Radhe walked to stand beside Arvon and a larger and older man named Dargetan. The dragon landed and raised with a might showing move. "Stupid Elaine. She thinks she is so tought and good and deadly with her red cloak and long spear and gold hair which can be quite soft and smell good but still... hairy. She thinks she is thought but I have seen dragons that are tougher than her because she is only quite thought, a little cool but definitely not as hot as dragons and if....." Radhe left Arvon to mumble for himself.
The dragon rider which apparently was named Elaine jumped down from her dragon and was approached by a middle aged man. "Where is Emaniel? Why is he not with you? Don't tell me that he is" The man said to her. "Calm down. No Emaniel will not come here since his dragon was blinded and badly wounded during a raid on Lisakdonian transport ships earlier this week. He stays in the three mountain fortress until his dragon has healed which might take weeks. Also Adun is dead, killed during the same attack."
"Adun? The 16 year old boy from the silver cliffs? I'm very sorry to hear that. The boy did not deserve to die so young."
"I'm very sorry for your friends." Radhe said from the crowd.
Elaine looked at her with minor confusion. "Ehm thanks for your concern. Now where is father?"
Arvon was moving through the crowd to Radhe and grabbed her in an attempt to stop her from speaking anymore but was not really fast enough. "We had to defend ourselves, we did not mean to kill. mjph mhp""I'm sorry for Radhe here. She is a little out of her mind, you know the heat and the sun and the sand. It gets everywhere you know. It stops the brain to work and..." Arvon tried to talk away the subject.
"Shut up Arvon! Who is this girl and what did she say? She killed Adun? She is Lisakdonian?" Elaine has drawn her spear and pointed it at Radhe which was held by Arvon. The dragon was growling behind.
"Ehm ehm. ehh. Well ehm. She is not Lisakdonian really. She is actually a contestant of their champion tournament. But she is fine, she is friendly."
"What!? She is a contestant? And that is any better? She is fighting to become a champion of their goddess just like the black manslayer. She is far worse than any ordinary Lisakdonian Arvon. Why is she here and why is she alive? Well if none of you have been able to do it then I shall make dragon food out of her!"
"Elaine, calm down! Yes the girl Radhe is a contestant of the Lisakdonian tournament but that alone does not make her into another William." The old druid woman had appeared behind the small crowd.
"This girl killed Adun. She must be punished for her crime!"
"No crime has been committed by the girl. She simply protected her own life like the others on that ship. It was your foolish brother and his squad that attacked a contestants ship. They were very lucky that the fire angel was nowhere close or there would have been three dead instead of just one."
"She is still a trespasser and should at least be deported immediately or better yet, imprisoned."
"I shall allow the girl to stay here with the word of the gods. This girl has during these days shown me that she has some kind of connection to Keralda. She would not be pleased if we harmed the girl without any good reason to do so."
Elaine withdrew her spear. "Very well. If it is the will of the gods then so be it. But know this girl. If you give me as little as one small reason to. I shall gladly make you pay for what you did to Adun."
Comments
Hehehe.
Edit: @Jonteman93 - "Tiamat asked as Sophie passed the bottle by Tiamat to Vateria. Tiamat ran around the table to get the bottle."
Shouldn't the underlined name be Haide? )
It was fun to read your chapters. I'm going to miss ya! )
I have to thank you for joining the tournament and I hope that your life gets stable again quickly.
Good luck!
I will continue to narrate the story with R5-T4 in case you would find some time and desire sometime. Otherwise you can read them afterwards.
Once again. I wish you good luck friend.
Continued from @KalamMekhar chapter on the Galatea
"Keep away from her you foul beast of the abyss!!"
It was a man with a large sword that hit the Akon in the head, leaving a large bleeding wound.
Now go Radhe and live how you choose to."
Sir Wardnan released Radhe's hands and went together with Marianne down the river.
@Faiths_Guide
@TenebrisNemo, and @KalamMekhar
The match between Tiamat and Radhe is still planned to be played on Sunday Evening.
"Did something happen to your father?"
Ingrid was angry that her orders where stopped so easily by Vateria but she was powerless to do anything due to her being a champion.
Radhe was happy to see the girls again.
Tiamat showed Radhe where they lived and gave back Radhe's belongings to her.
-------------------------------------------
At another time and another location:
There were many strange people in the old district but the district was not cut from it's connections.
I, Friyena, welcomes you."
She then took flight and glided towards the contestants.
"Now, let me show you the arena"
They followed Friyena to another room beside that room. This room was small and circular with a many circles on the floor in the middle. Similar in style to some in the dome outside Legorna. "Contestant R5-T4. Would you please go into the central circle?"
R5-T4 did so and when he stood there, Friyena spoke some words in some other language. The circles beneath R5-T4 began to glow and the floor began to become a liquid. R5-T4 began to sank down. "Good luck R5-T4"
When R5-T4 had sunk down completely into the liquid.
VS
(Note: I'm going to make the assumption that Mishra and his assembly workers are now or reinforced with the aktorium infused metal.)
Mishra had six assembly workers of the aktorium metal with him and some equipment in case he would need to assembly something additional for some reason.
Mishra: "You disappoint me R5-T4. I gave you an opportunity to remain hidden and yet you get discovered by Thibble's soldiers. Thus I don't believe this match to be necessary and I see it best if you surrender this match directly."
R5-T4: "No"
Mishra: "It was a recommendation and an order. If you can't even remain hidden with my configuration I see no point in this match either since you obviously cannot follow simple instructions."
R5-T4 "YoU arE JUsT lIkE maSTeR Thibble. You DoN't cArE FOr mE. Skaforlin Had GIveN mE a ChanCe to bE mu OWn MasTEr. I ShaLL Not TakE orDeRs anYMoRe."
Mishra: "You dare to defy me?
@Faiths_Guide
@TenebrisNemo, and @KalamMekhar
Does this work well for both of you?
----------------------------------
@Everyone @Gelectrode @Faiths_Guide @TenebrisNemo @KalamMekhar
"You deserve worse."
"Yes"
Friyena stood up.
Some say that he sold his soul for his love to Friyena."
Radhe did not have to ask anything about him.
"We had to defend ourselves, we did not mean to kill. mjph mhp" "I'm sorry for Radhe here.
