"Who needs secrets and tricks when you have the art of blood and the beauty of death on your side? Once you control the blood, you begin to control the host..."
  • Alright time for a actual story on my part instead of just typing in blocks :)

Bafae is assessing her opponent to be(as stated earlier). She heads to the forest following her prey (assuming he is going to the next match, basically she is stalking him). Bafae has assumed the role of a lowlife commonfolk to is amazed by the wonders of the machines, and questions about their making to Mishra.

*The information he divulges to her, if any at all could be useful maybe it is not (sry not good with names...who made Mishra because?)*

    (Now to the round 2)

Bafae sitting next to her opponent watching the geomancer and assassin fight. When Mishra cheered for the geomancer she cheered (as the commoner still)
Even though she was cheering for assassin seeing as the weak are easier kills. It was disappointing when he lost.

Mishra had an automan carry him around, (can I use that to my advantage)

  • @Faiths_Guide if you wouldnt mind saying what information Mishra divulges to Bafae, if any, that would be greatly appreciated
  • Hey can someone let me know when the next tourny is here? just pm me I want to try my hand at this sounds fun.

    @NokiSkaur

'Controlling blood? I'm just hoping I'm not die first before I can do something against it.' She opened her eyes and frowned.

'And I hope the charm also works as well.' She thought while thinking about a certain wizard who gave her a sort of 'spell warding' charm in form of a little sapphire necklace that granted the user to possess high resistance against spell-based attacks because it could be very useful for the soldiers to have such protection, although it couldn't really ward off against every magic, obviously. Especially high-ranking magic that could affect a huge amount of damage, like obliterating the whole city.

'Even that Beholder couldn't even do anything that could affect my body or mind, aside from just throwing large boulders and fireballs at me.' She recalled an event where she and some of her companies went to a searching mission to recover some important materials, then in a sudden got ambushed by a floating spheroid body with a large fanged mouth and single eye on the front and many flexible eyestalks on the top.

She shuddered to think about it. A Beholder was a deadly force of magic for each of its eyestalk could cast a different form of deadly spell. From this day she still wondered how could even she and her companies survived that day.

Apart from it, her natural ability to cast 'darkness' should be useful to temporarily blind her adversaries or just to hide. Something that every drow can use anytime. The trick was to send a wave of dark mana to the enemy's eyes, or for the creative, to coat some objects with 'darkness', making them a great place for hiding.

'Seems pretty useless to hide if your enemies can sense you in the dark.' She closed her eyes and ironically creaked a slight smile, then continued to frown instead.

"Let us see about it then, vampire." Bluffed the dark elf. 'Death holds nothing to someone who has nothing.'
  • Suddenly, both Neerayne and the vampire were overtaken by a vision. They were standing in the void, facing a ghastly reflection of Jahanacicus. The sprite says: "I am hosting a little competition of my own. I want you to bring me the best dagger in town. I want as much help as I can against the dragon queen. Whoever brings me the better dagger will get my ethereal blessing for the fight. The magic I used on the scoundrel was weak, don't look at that, instead look at the magic I used on the Izzet Machine that totally crushed Corscine. Let the tourney... Begin!". And just like that, the vision faded.
  • @HeroKP

(Note: And what should I actually do again?)
  • “Talk about a crushing defeat. If it hadn’t been for the quarry, that match would’ve ended far differently. I’ll have to keep environmental dependencies in mind for the future,” Leandra mused to herself, and she made a note of it among her other notes, which was quickly evolving to be a mess. For now, though, she’d need to research as much as she could if she wanted a chance at victory in her own match.

However, a lingering thought kept nagging at the back of her mind. Jahanacicus' silence after the first match had been concerning her, and the fact that the machine had been able to completely turn the match around was a devastating blow to any optimism. "Did he have a part to play in that? And if so, did he influence the other one, too? I'll need to get him alone, just for a few moments to see what he'll say."

Of course, the fact that Mishra's Assembly-Workers had been handling a package at such an ungodly hour was also a concern. Was it a simple delivery, or something more sinister than that?
  • (I'm liking this, we've got a real story going on here! At least one "bad guy," a person whose motives are largely mysterious, and a couple underdogs, and we're not even through the first set of matches. Awesome!)
  • I feel like making alliances, and asking people to bring stuff to you is slightly unfair. Like to get a dagger is a little much, but like gathering information would work because then you guys arent doing favors for each other...I dont know what the final decisions should be on that, just voicing my opinion
  • y'all are being watched
  • Mishra...my opponent. I worthy one from what I see, but I have studied and ruled out information that is useless for false.

The automans could be a problem, but I doubt they are fast and as long as I can get to Mishra I should be able to end it.

Maybe their are some sigils that could destroy automans.

    *Heads to the library*

On the way to the library,
    "Hello Mishra."
"Greetings 'fae' what shall you be up to?"
"I am up to none of your buisness."
    "I see"
"I hope that we can have a fun fight though. Most of my marks lately have been pitifully weak which I hope you are not; although the fact that thout are crippled gives the wrong impression."
"I assure scoundrel I am much more powerful than you take me to be."
"Well it will be a pleasure to fight you Mishra, I shall see you on the battlefield"
"The pleasure is all mine 'fae'."

Continues on to the library after departing ways...

    To be continued....

@Faiths_Guide - if there is anything wrong with the encounter on how Mishra would act please let me know.
@Jonteman93 - may I know if I find a sigil or tools worthy of my battle that I could use
  • You are also being watched 0_0
  • Ok then, rewind time!

Jahanacicus asked the contestants to give them a drop of their blood on the altar of the local god. However types that their champions dripped blood on the altar wins my favor!

    -_-' cultist @HeroKP
  • I want in one some of that action (not Bafae)
  • @Monokuma15

You'll see why I need their blood when someone comes forward and does it. I'll give you a hint: Jahanacicus has been earning himself a good reputation with Simic Combine lately.
  • ... Combine?
  • Yes, the official name is Simic Combine. Why?
  • The Simic Combine is the true name of the simic

    Like House Dimir
  • I totally wasn't thinking of half life 2 combines

i wonder when the next tournament is I got a card that I made yesterday tried my best to keep em balanced.
  • I have an idea for one if I win I will host it otherwise I will share it with the winner, and it is their call. That is if we make this a chain competition, and the winner hosts the next tourney
  • hey fro you made balanced cards right? can I show you the one I'm tryin to enter?
  • Yea I try my best to make balanced cards.
You should enter my contest (subliminal advertising)
  • XD No duh if you win i'll enter

@DoctorFro Creating alliances and helping others is acceptable as long as it is logical to the story. Well anything is acceptable if it is logical to the story.
However, by committing actions which are "in-moral" or dangerous there migth be consequences.
Actions may increase the odds of winning but they might also cause new enemies which may decrease those odds.
Some actions may increase the odds of winning to a degree and then decrease it if overused.

Another thing. How a champion wins or loses is independent on the odds. The only thing that is that the winner will live for the next match while the loser will be eliminated. How this happens might vary.
Another note is that the matches might be very even even though the points are not and vice versa. They way of winning will be more dependent on character traits.

Sigils might be found in the chapel but it might be risky as it is there where the priests live, also your "abyssal" priest who is responisble for bringing you all back to life.
The library have some novice and adept mages so maybe there.
Tools could maybe be found at the blacksmith or in the armory.
Constructs and automatons are not native to this plane so there are not any specific tools that are designed to take them down.

@Monokuma15 I don't know when or if I'll make a new tournament kind of contest. But if so it might not be within the nearest future.
  • Okay thank you for the clarification
