I already made this for the Mechanic Synergy contest, might as well repost it here! I thought that a Totem Armor "Lord" would be fun. It adds the counter to prevent memory issues (thanks to @Tomigon for that suggestion!) I have included full rules text in the Disqus comments, including Splice and some extra rulings. Fun Fact! You can splice this onto creatures with Bestow!
alright almost the end of the contest, i will take any entry with FEB 28 or below for an entry date. im looking foward to compare all you entries and remember, if you want further input as to why your entry did or didnt win, you can DM me and ill be glad to provide further info
No. They shut down another player, making very not fun for that player. Hence why I always run Mistcutter Hydra. They try to shut me down, I shut them down.
This is a throwback to The Splicers of New Phyrexia. It has the "Artificer" subtype so that you can splice two of these together if you draw more than 1 copy.
This is my attempt at making a card of @Tomigon. He has been giving me some really useful card design advice as of late and I thought this would be a nice little "thank you." So, @Tomigon, if you're reading this, thank you!
Alright! here are the result. first of all i'd like to say sorry for the small delay, i work as a game designer and PAX EAST is upon us so there has been a lot of crunch time lately.
A lot of the entries were great and fun to think about the deck they could fit in but i have found three im very fond of.
In 3rd place is Word of Admonition By @Tomigon. This card power level feels on point for an uncommon. A card like this one would be a top tier pick in limited in a format with a handful of angel at similar rarity. the fact that its entirely playable as a standalone card make it even better.
In Second place is Sudden Despair from @Animist. The art for this card is on point and the effect is also fitting for splice onto trap. It so simple yet it brings more intricate decision making to the deck looking to play this card. Even without the splice cost, the effect is interesting, discard at instant speed is very powerful as it can be played before the opponent gets to play the card he drew for the turn.
And in first place !!!! Swordplay from @Faiths_Guide. Everything on this card feels real. from the art to the effect, it all comes together. The spell give a pirate vibe and so does the art. I'm glad this entry was posted as I truly believe it is deserving of the top spot CONGRATULATION.
Each Winners will be awarded a fave on the card posted here and faves on cards of their choice. Winners can also submit an honorable mention of their choice which will be faved and will receive a fave on their entry.
Like I said, a lot of very good cards were crafted for this contest and judging was really fun. If you want to receive feedback on a card you posted, dont hesitate to DM me, ill be glad to tell you what I think of it.

I made an entire cycle based off of my "Splice onto Jace" card.
If you want to see the other cards, they're in this set (though they aren't entries):
