STOLEN GRAIN GOES UP IN PRICE BY 11,500% IN A WEEK!!!

Has anyone noticed this? Do you own one of these cards? Why has this happened? Is it worth the price? Is it an investment opportunity?

  • Hello there!

I am no stocks expert, but I am confident that one should never buy into these things. The market price of this card always drops off quickly afterwards, and other people rarely buy them while they're still expensive. And besides, Stolen Grains will probably never be good enough to use in a competitive tournament.

So what should you do? Personally, if you really want to get into these things, I suggest buying a couple of cheap and old cards that were printed in a limited supply. Cards in sets like Portal Three Kingdoms and Arabian Nights are probably never to be reprinted again, so speculators like to freak out and buy every one they can get their grubby hands on. Maybe one day the card's price will spike, and then you can sell it quickly to another short-sighted speculator.
  • My friend managed to snag a playset for $2 each as soon as it spiked. Its going to be a massive pain as many players, such as myself, want to own every card in the set. I'm looking around online now and i can't find them anywhere.
  • @Tom90548 Are you new to the site, or are you someone's alternative account? Did you do the buyout?
  • Does anyone remember the Seance incident?
  • @KrampisZman: the title does look like an ad
  • @KalamMekhar Why would anyone even want stolen grain anyway? It's a terrible card with no demand.
  • I didn't stage the buyout, i just find it ridiculous. I was just wondering if anyone had any info on it. Im new to the forum btw, i usually just make custom cards.
  • @Tom90548 In that case, welcome aboard! This is probably just like the Narwhal buyout from 2016, where some skrubs tried to corner the market on a low-supply, low-demand card.

Needless to day one can find Narwhals for only a few cents more than before the 2016 buyout as of today. The price tanked because no one wanted any 4 mana 2/2s with pro red.
  • @KrampisZman Yeah i remember hearing about that, pretty sure MTGLion was behind the nawhal incident. Thanks for the warm welcome!

    Narwhals remind me of Kakra.
  • @Faiths_Guide I literally don't even remember favoriting that.
  • @KalamMekhar ...And I was all... HOW DID THE BOTS MAKE IT BACK TO THE FORUMS? Until I started reading it.
    XD
