Reactivation Challenge #42 - Legends Remastered
Original challenge by @Connor2001
http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/3150/legends-remastered-judging-phase/p1
ORIGINAL CHALLENGE RULES:
Choose any of the legends you like from Legends set. Then make a new, revamped version of that character! It can be their younger self, older self, different version, or even a planeswalker, if you wish. You can do whatever you want with him (or her)!
*No old entries.
*While I'm not going to be too much of a stickler on this, it is highly advised that you use correct formatting for your card. This means centering text, making sure text doesn't run out of the box, correct terminology, correctly ordered mana symbols, etc. If you turn in a sloppy card, that means you obviously didn't care enough to make it look good, which means I probably won't look too favorably upon it.
*For obvious reasons, I'm going to leave out Nicol Bolas from the contest. All the other Elder Dragons are still fair game, however.
UPDATED CONTEST RULES:
*You may also choose cards from "Homelands" set. Go to this link:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&block=+["Early Expansions"]&type=+["Legendary"]+["Creature"]
*Maximum 5 entries per person. (In Connor2001's challenge, the maximum was 3. If you have already made 3 cards for his challenge, you can submit 2 more for this reactivation challenge. However cards made before the original contest aren't allowed.)
*Top 3 winners will get a super amazing -TROPHY-!
Deadline : February 25
------------------------
*Reactivation Disclaimer:
1 ) An inactive challenge is chosen to be reactivated, it gets posted for new submissions with a new deadline.
2 ) The new judge cannot choose his or her own submissions as the winner.
3 ) After the winners are declared, the judge selects one participant as the next host (must be an active member).
4 ) The chosen participant chooses the next challenge that has been inactive for over 2 months. He or she hosts it as the reactivation judge.
5) The reactivation judge starts this process all over from step 1.
*Second Disclaimer:
- New discussion is opened for each reactivated challenge. A link to the original challenge is put there.
- The alternate judge must type original judge's name after "@" to notice that his or her challenge is reactivated by the alternate judge.
- The original judge has a right to take over their original challenge or to ask for it to remain open and unresolved at any time prior to a winner being declared and posted.

You posted 3 bonus cards to the original challenge. New limit is 5 in this reactivation challenge. You can select two cards from among them as normal entries. Or you can make new cards and switch them if you want.
I forgot to center Rubinia's text, and I forgot to put a comma in Boris's name. I think those are the only mistakes.
Wow you are fast! Thanks for your entries!
Only one of the most classical Magic villains of all time, and the coolest card in Homelands, save maybe Thallid.
Under your control?
*sighs*
You're premium, yeah? :P
EDIT: Card fixed.
Edit: nvm just read the top
I count all entries from the original contest. That's the point of reactivation challenges!
But if you don't want me to count your cards you made for the original contest, let me know.
Honorable mentions
"Xira Arien, Lady of Wisdom" by @DoctorFro
^The art really looks like it were made for the update version of Xira Arien. I like the new abilities too. It would be very fun in multiplayer game.

- 3rd place!
"Tetsuo, Master Archer" by @Teacup
^Original has protection from auras. New version can return itself to your hand and detach auras. Very clever! Nice use of @ChargingBadger's mechanic and bounce ability.
(Old card: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=201234)
- 2nd place!!
"Adun Oakenshield" by @Jonteman93
^The old version have red and green for no reason. Now this is what aggressive necromancer should look like!
(Old card: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=159294)
- 1st place!!!
"Ramses, of Dark Schemes" by @TenebrisNemo
^It has a same activated ability as the original, but the new version also attaches aura tokens to creatures so that the card works without your help. I also like the effect of aura tokens. Now he's a god slayer assassin!

Thanks for participating everyone! This was a very nice concept for a design challenge, and everyone was doing a great job, so I wanted to judge this contest!
@TenebrisNemo congrats for winning the first place! Can you do the next reactivation challenge?
I can host the next reactivation challenge. Let's see what I can do...
