@Faiths_Guide I left a comment on your card, also I looked and yes Green has life gain as its primary so it would maybe be a break or a bend, as it matches up for green with the life gain, other than that this is supposed to be an inter-faction card for my new set, which is why it has specific wording in regards to a dryad and soldier creature, by the way, temporary mana gain is a secondary for black, keep that in mind before you view this card
@Temurzoa I left a comment on you card; it's pretty neat!

Counter strike is a custom mechanic of mine based on HeroScape: Counter strike (Whenever this creature is dealt combat damage, if the damage is less than its toughness, it deals damage to the source equal to the difference.)
What do you think about possibly shortening the reminder text.. again? Counter strike (Whenever this creature is dealt less combat damage than its toughness, it deals damage to the source equal to the difference.)

@KorandAngels Just a note: I think there should be another space between flying and the ability, and I'm pretty sure Fateful hour is italicized. Also, the flavor text is too high up, and it falls off the page.
Pailay is based off of a Hawaiian myth: Pele, Goddess of Fire and Volcanoes. The "human offering" portion is a joke based on the concept of throwing people into a volcano to appease it--fortunately mono-red humans comprise 17% of the mono-colored Human cards in MtG so there's plenty of "fuel for the fire." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For those of you unfamiliar with the offering mechanic it works like this: [subtype] offering (You may cast this card any time you could cast an instant by sacrificing a [subtype] and paying the difference in mana costs between this and the sacrificed [subtype]. Mana cost includes color.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After that, I just looked at all the existing god cards and decided I'd do an indestructible can't attack/block unless version. Trample hadn't been used and felt appropriate for red and for lava.
She might be a bit weak relative to MtG's god cards, but I think the possibility of flashing her out at a reduced cost via offering warrants a little bit of caution!
She plays really well with burn (flavor win) and would be especially useful alongside "pingers" throughout Magic's history. Oh, and This Guy has simply got to be her pet--or her child...

@Faiths_Guide Usually the types of god cards that you based Pailay off of usually have a way to let them attack on their own card. For instance, Hazoret has a way to discard cards, and Bontu has a way to sacrifice creatures. Besides, this is a little too boring for a god card, in my opinion.
This card is just to show what a Yu-Gi-Oh card would look like when implemented into MTG. Also, the Gravekeepers are one of my favorite tribes in either game.
Ability: Tribute n: (As an additional cost to cast this creature, sacrifice n creatures.)
@ouser94501 Yes, as I said above, "She might be a bit weak relative to MtG's god cards, but I think the possibility of flashing her out at a reduced cost via offering warrants a little bit of caution!"
Also, I'd consider remaking your card before asking for thoughts from the community since tribute is a real MtG mechanic already...
@EnvyReaper You should probably update the image. The current image and the linked card are two different cards.
Moving onto commentary. Why is this blue? Damage prevention is green and white's territory; there is nothing remotely blue about this honestly if you ask me.
Secondly, how long does the damage prevention effect last, and how long does the +1/-1 last? For the former, prolonging the effect will only cause memory headaches; if X is 10, and the damage is dealt in chunks of 2 or 3, who will memorize the total damage marked over the course of 3, 4, or even 5 turns? Most damage prevention effects last for a single turn. For the latter, there is no reason for this to last more than one turn, as that is how most spells handle P/T changes.
Lastly, why is the P/T change +1/-1? Reducing toughness while preventing damage feels like two opposing effects paired together. For example, casting this on any 1-toughness creature kills that creature. In that case, so much for a blessing?

@EnvyReaper I just saw the article so for the time being we can agree that is a primary function of blue, but it's also important to point out that the article is almost 2 years old, and Rosewater also prefaces it with a very good point :
(1.) This mechanical color pie represents where the color pie currently is, today, June 5, 2017. There's no promise that what I write today will always be true. In fact, the promise is the exact opposite—some of this will change over time. Metaphorically, I'm taking a snapshot of the mechanical color pie, but it's going to keep on growing and won't always look as it does in this picture.
@LizzardWizzard, I like the multiple angles one can take with Jiko. But why is it a Turtle? I think it would fit better as an Akki (goblin) or a Horror. Otherwise nice work.
@Bowler218 On Ethereal Carapace, I think it'd feel super bad if the creature it manifested died and it couldn't be re-equipped.
I commented on Ecko. I also created this next card specifically for you.

@Alastor_Cain, love the edgy flavor text. Personally I think the card is overcosted in what it does, mostly because Time Walk and Time Warp can do the same effects for cheaper and far less restrictions.

I'm not sure if I got the wording right on his last ability. Please let me know.

Can someone please tell me if it is appropriate for this to be an enchantment or not?
