@ChoyBoi I actually really like this card! It seems pretty balanced, and would be way fun to play in a dragon commander deck, or even a Derevi deck! Cool card!
@joemamajoe, I do like the idea for both of the cards you put! Firecaster mage is a fairly interesting and appropriately mythic-level card, and Mox of the Damned is a really good take on the Moxen with an interesting ability thats sorta like madness.
I do think the wording on Firecaster mage is a little off, however. I'd rewrite it as "Whenever you draw a card, scry 1 for each creature in your party" and "Whenever you discard a card, Firecaster Mage deals X damage to target creature or planeswalker, where X is the number of creatures in your party." (I might be wrong though.) It doesn't take from the card at all, I just figured I'd try and help you out.
@Choyboi , this is my review for Starsworn Familiar; you created "Empyrial Storm", a weak card. It's extremely odd how the dragons do not have flying. I fully feel like it could cost 6 mana, since while it can be dangerous if flickered, there isn't any flicker commander that particularly wants to be cast twice or more from the command zone, and the tokens are just 4/4's. 8 mana in a different color could get you Ezuri's Predation, which is also far from a powerful card but still a godsend compared to Starsworn Familiar.
@zizick123 , this is my review for Commence the Crusade; the mechanic and flavor is great. However, I do feel as if it should cost 5 mana compared to other offerings that white decks have received in the past.
@joemamajoe , this is my review for Mox of the Damned; it's broken. If you don't know, there is this little game-breaking mechanic that exists called "Dredge" that sees play in all formats; it allows them to mill the top X cards of their library continuously, often at 5~ cards at a time, and if they draw the Mox, they can loot it away. Giving them a free Mox for doing what they already do a lot is what I'd argue to be unfixable. This isn't mentioning the multitude of other, more broken decks; Pioneer Charbelcher can now combo consistently with counterspells up and both Reanimator and Hogaak in Legacy can wreck havoc. Did I mention the fact that "Entomb" is a card? This isn't even me going in depth to the possible power or the combo potential of the card. It is unsalvageable as a mox.
As for Firecaster Mage, also broken. You get to Scry 1 or more on every draw, but you also get to constantly ping for each card you discard. I could see U/R Arclight Phoenix lists wrecking havoc in pioneer with the damage and card selection it provides, or cycling decks in standard being extremely opressive. In addition to Arclight, U/R/x control would also become the only viable deck in existence, because of such powerhouse cards that could easily fit with this already powerful card. And the worst part about it; the best way to counter this card is with ping effects and/or effective removal. This card is a ping effect, and both of the decks that play it have efficent removal.
If you wish for me to demonstrate how broken these cards are, I could create a few sample decks with the cards in them.
@KingSumples, I looove this card. It isn't broken in CEDH or regular EDH, it's a reference to one of my favourite cards, and not to mention it does two themes extremely well.
@KingSumples - Pretty cool concept for a Dimir sac outlet engine. Not sure I'm hip on the second ability. Maybe a mechanic where any creature that leaves the battlefield due to negative counters gets you a second card draw would make it more appealing to me. Otherwise, me-likie!
Here's one of the cards I conceptualized today, although I'm not gonna lie, I'm not sure there's anyway I can make this idea work without making it either too janky or too OP, but it's basically my attempt to try and bring much desired synergy to angel tribal.
@Potato13, Tomigon even thinks it's a little too weak! It is not broken at all! Take a look at Mox Opal, Chrome Mox, and Mox Amber! Those are stronger but aren't considered broken. This can't get out as quick as Chrome Mox, and is usually dropped on turn 3+. I don't see how you think it's broken. Plus this card is a legendary! All the people who favorited would not agree with you.
@joemamajoe I have been playing magic for 3-4 years now. Thing is, you need to look past your own opinions and listen to what other people think. Mox of the Damned is a broken card, and even if you cant cast it from your hand, you can cast it once it enters your graveyard, and there are a million ways to do that in magic on t1 or t2.
@KEdRuss Luminarch Gate is super cool! I think the tokens should be 1/1, since constantly making a bunch of 2/2 flyers can be pretty oppressive. Then agin, it is a mythic.
I mostly want feedback for the mechanic Protean, but feedback for the card itself would be nice too.
@RandomFandom Protean is a really cool mechanic. I like the card as a pacifism that can also be a creature, and I think protean in general is something that can go in a lot of cool directions. One question, does protean work like bestow, so that when the enchanted creature dies the protean card comes onto the battlefield?
@ChoyBoi, are you kidding? I'm listening to OTHER people. Tomigon, Ral1000, KingSumple, and the other 7 people that favorited! Check the comments for Ral1000's opinion and
@joemamajoe I understand that, but you barely listened to @Potato13's opinion and examples of how it was broken, which all make sense, "This can't get out as quick as Chrome Mox, and is usually dropped on turn 3+." Entomb can do that, so can self-mill spells and surveil. Sinful is a cool mechanic, but if you increased the sinful thing on the card, it becomes powerful, but not broken.
@ChoyBoi, Emtomb costs 1 black so technically if you do that, you casting the mox for 1 black, not zero. So it usually doesn't even come out for free unlike Chrome Mox.
I think you two need to clarify what formats this card would be legal in. It would be broken in standard and probably modern, but not too broken in legacy, vintage, commander etc.
@jicklemania2, @ChoyBoi, it would be banned in standard, pioneer, historic. Why legacy @ChoyBoi? Lion's Eye Diamond, and Mox Diamond are legal in legacy.
@RandomFandom - Thanks! Yeah, I really struggled about the size of the tokens. The logic behind was the design was bred from personal frustrations that big angels like Avacyn, Angel of Hope never stayed on the battlefield long, and almost all the good ones are very costly mana-wise; so the idea was to create a synergy card where you're still getting some value and battlefield presence for the big angels you cast, even if they don't stick by the time it's your turn again to capitalize on them. An earlier version of the card had it so that every time ANY angel ETB, you would get a weaker token, but that got crazy really quick, and I don't think doing a lot of math to figure out how many of each strain of angel tokens you gained was going to be fun to play. Where at least with the 2/2's, they are formidable enough without being too oppressive.
As to your own card, pretty nice angel that's cheap and has some nice utility. Just don't forget to add flying (unless its a grounded angel, lol). I also agree with Choy that there needs to be rules text that explains what happens to the enchanting creature once its target leaves the battlefield.
@ChoyBoi - So, I'm still a bit confused what the forest morph mechanic is supposed to do, but I'm chalking that up to the fact that I still pretty green to MTG in general and morph as a mechanic seems a bit obtuse to me. So I feel dirty that I can't necessarily give a fair or useful critique of the card.
Lightblade Defender is a cool idea, but doesn't quite work. It has hexproof, which means that it can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponent's control. Changing the target of the spell to it would only make the spell fizzle, so the card basically gives all of your creatures hexproof, which is way too powerful.
Child of wrath has some wording problems. It should be
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, Child of Wrath deals 1 damage to each creature. If a non-token creature dealt damage this way would die this turn, exile it instead and create a 1/1 black Raven creature token with flying.
Also, not sure if you realized this, but it would kill it's own ravens if you cast two instants or sorceries.
Here's my card, using "Hexshield" by Pepperoni, but changed the name to harmlessness.
@RandomFandom I love this. Roulette is a cool way to have a more un mechanic be viable in black border. Maybe make it so the last ability can only be activated once per turn? Here's mine, which I've posted before but didn't get any feedback on. Forestmorph, by me - Forestmorph [cost] (You may cast this creature face down as a colorless forest land with "{t}: Add {g}" for {3}. Turn it face up at any time for its forestmorph cost.)

My recent cool card is this one (I made it for the sake of commander, as I have for most of my cards, so think about it in that regard):
