Note that the interaction between Cascade and Split Second on Map the Terrain is intentional. If it gains split second you won’t be able to cast the cascaded spell. This is for balance reasons.

This was the most original idea of the lot, being able to use loyalty counters in a different way. why haven't they thought of this yet?! It was a neat concept, it almost made 1st but due to the artist not being credited it slipped into 2nd place (even if it is a blow up of Jace Beleren that a lot of us know, it still would have been nice to have the artist name.)
