New Entry #4: I thought that it would be amazing to have a card that can disable a commander by taking control of it. Also a throwback to incarnations. They haven't made them in a while as far as I am aware.
Ah, @everyone! The contest is now over! It will probably take me a couple of days to judge due to school projects and all that ^-^ I'll be sure to come back and judge this when I can
---===Honorable Mention===--- First up! We got an honorable mention with Infusing Clouds by @TheCenterOfTheUniverse! I love love LOVE this effect! It's a cheap Vedalken Orrery/Leyline of Anticipation, but is only limited to a handful of types! The cheap cost allows for the card to be very flexible and dangerous! Keep up the good work ^-^
Because of this creative design, I'll give you another +1 for a card of your choice ^-^ Tallying it up to 3 favorites.
---===Honorable Mention===--- Next up! Our second honorable mention is going to be Assisted Repulsion by @bnew07! I love how simple the design is! I think the cost could be toned down a bit? But the effect of a counterspell with convoke is such a value card!
---===5th Place===--- Alright! Now it's time for our placers! On 5th place, we have Silent-Vale Peacekeeper by @captain_Pugsley! This card would be a keeper in any group hug deck! In the early game, you could be making so many player's draw cards, causing them to discard down to seven and discard some important pieces! This card isn't only a blessing, but a terror if unchecked! I love how this card also subtly hints at forcing your opponents to attack, lest they draw too many cards from their deck! I love this card and hope to see more simple cards like it!
---===4th Place===--- Next up, we got Cleanse the Impure by @Tomigon, placing him at 4th place! Not only is it a board wipe, but it's also a value card for a walls deck! You could combo this card by pumping your opponent's cards, allowing for this card to reach more creatures! I have to agree with Faiths_Guide that the cost could be toned down a bit, since most tokens and creatures have even P/T, but that doesn't stop me from appreciating the card! Love the card and hope to see you making more of it!
---===3rd Place===--- Ooh, we got a doozy of a design up next! Cunning Kitsune by @sorinjace both speeds you up in the game AND slows down your opponent at the same time! This tempo card rewards you for playing a flourish of spells while also punishing your opponents for playing multiple cards in a turn! This card would be such an amazing piece in a control deck! Hope to see you improve and make more awesome cards sorinjace!
---===2nd Place===--- For our second placer, we have Siren's Song by @Teacup! I love how simple this card is and how it enforces a mono blue strategy with the devotion clause! I love how the card is both appropriately costed AND dangerously fun! This card is such a cool threat and a value card for any decks with a blue focus! Keep up the good work with all these illusory and enchanting designs!
Flipping through the pages of this tome, you'll find the devilishly threatening Tibalt, Spawn of Chaos by @Arceus8523!
The fact that you can activate Tibalt's abilities during any other player's turn is such a cool tidbit, allowing for Tibalt's power level to scale with the amount of players in the game!
I love how the +1 ability is a "may" clause, meaning that you don't have to stop the game entirely to roll a bunch of dice to deal 1 damage that will most likely not effect the game that much. But I like how the +1 can also deal with small things if there's a bunch of small X/1s that are scattered throughout the board!
I like how the -3 is basically just Gamble, allowing for Tibalt to be a vessel for some sinister scheming in your devilish plans ^-^
The -4 is actually a blessing in disguise! The simple Act of Treason effect is such a value engine, allowing for players to gain control of their abilities and stats! The fact that this also combos with the "You may activate abilities of this planeswalker during any other player's turn and at any time you can cast an instant" clause is such a cool effect!
@ManaChrome Thanks for picking my card! I was thinking in the opposite way. I thought it should cost more than Wrath of God because it doesn't kill your tokens and defenders. And if you build your deck and put this card into it, probably none of your creatures die from this spell. But yeah, this can become useless sometimes. I think I'll add cycling to it.
I need your opinion on my new card, its inspired by the incarnations of judgement set from back in the day. There have been edits since I posted this comment, but Devourer feels better as a creature to me. He was meant to be a big threat, and worse in the graveyard.
@sorinjace Alright, thanks for giving me the cards you'd like me to favorite!
On the subject of your card, I think that it should be worded as:
{2}{g}{g}. Destroy target noncreature, nonland permanent. Activate this ability only if CARDNAME is in your graveyard, once per turn, and only any time you could cast a sorcery.
