@Ranshi922, he has written a ton of books, such as the mistborn series, Elantris, Warbreaker, White Sand, the Reckoners series and more. He is easily my favorite author, so all my card here will be from his books. I am currently working on them.
Steel Inquisitors are used by the lord ruler to hunt down commoners with allomantic powers. For those of you who haven't read the book, hemalurgy is the process used to create the inquisitors, which involves driving metal spikes through various parts of their bodies, (hence their eyes in the picture)
Voidspren are kind of like weaker versions of the unmade, one of my other entries. Won't go to in depth to keep the spoilers to a minimum, but more powerful voidspren can inhabit stone, creating a creature known as a thunderclast.
@Ranshii922 yeah, the Reckoners series was really good, but I perfer his cosmere books. A bunch of his books all take place in the same universe, but on different worlds.
@Ranshi922. No. Like actual different planets in the same universe. Think Earth and Mars, just all over the milky way, instead of just one solar system. I would tell you more, but I don't want to spoil too much in case you end up reading the books.
@kandra127, I was actually thinking about making a kandra card for this contest, but then ended up going with the steel inquisitor. I might end up making one later, just cause.
OK then! Sorry for the late judging, but I've been busy. Anyways, here are the winners!
The 1st Honorable Mention goes to @TenebrisNemo with Ico and Yorda, Castlebound.
This is a pretty cool and flavorful card. I like how it actually signifies them escaping the castle. I'm not saying that doing this is a bad thing, but the fact that it is based off a book based off a video game means the characters are not original to the book, which is why it is only a honorable mention. Great work though!
The 2nd Honorable Mention goes to @01101 with Nergauol.
It's a cool design. If you play it out, you probably are planning to win within the next few turns, as eventually your team will die and you not long after if the attack spree keeps on. The art isn't the best, but it's pretty cool, so it got a HM. Good work!
3rd Place goes to @Lujikul with Wax and Wayne, Inspectors.
Clues are a really cool mechanic, and they fit perfectly here! They have a very interesting ability, that fits perfectly with being a detective. Great job!
I haven't read the series, but from the description you gave, the card suits him perfectly. He seems quite powerful and flavorful, so you get the #2 spot. Awesome job!
1st place goes to @bigbadbooknerd with Tigerstar, the Betrayer.
Warriors is one of my favorite book series ever, so it was cool to see a card from it. The card is on-point with flavor, and has a decently powerful ability, although unless you have a way to get him back, if your opponent isn't running black-red, he's staying with them. It's just a cool and interesting card from a cool and interesting series, and you did an amazing job with it!
Congrats to all the winners! With so many cool submissions, I had a hard time judging this one! It's interesting how many Brandon Sanderson fans we have in the crowd here today. I didn't expect to get that many submissions of the same author. I didn't get any of the references the cards were making, as the only Brandon Sanderson that I have read is The Rithmatist, which was really good. I may check out some of these others, as they sound cool!
Anyways, until next contest, so long, and thanks for all the fish! (If none of you get that reference, it's from a pretty iconic book series, so you should.)

In case you haven’t noticed, my username is a reference to the mistborn books
I can’t say that the name is familiar at the moment, as it’s been a while since I’ve read them. Were the oppressed people kandra?
