OA is correct. It would be a wizard type. However I will give you the benefit of the doubt and hope that the typing will function more than beating a dead horse in regards to making his necromancy evident.
Cause it's a sorcery. I'm confused on timing and the stack. Wouldn't you play it in response to a spell. Maybe:
If a spell an opponent controls would counter a spell you control, you may return that card to your hand and cast Lightning of the Ghitu without paying its mana cost.
@TheEnderDragon DerFern from themtgsource explains it way better than I ever could have.
"'You may cast that card without paying its mana cost' is part of the resolution of cascade, it allows you to play that card AT THIS TIME. Cascade is done resolving after you either played that card or put it back under your library with the other revealed cards. The timing restriction of whatever card it might be does not count as you have an effect which explicitly tells you that you may cast it (and therefore ignore a game rule)."

Mono Black Zambie Devotion
Warlock naturally knows magic
Necromancer - undead magic
Pyromancer - fire magic
lithomancer - stone magic
Animist - earth magic
So it depends, if Drugarian learnt this stuff, which he did.
Don't mean to boast. I'm just letting ya'll know.
