@EnvyReaper If you have something to say (yes we can still read that nonsense you've been posting), simply right it as legibly as you can. We don't care for your gibberish text on every--or any--discussion, thanks.
So the original definition of Discovery is actually three choices. The wording (to me) sort of implied there were only two options: either you cast the card, or you put it into your graveyard. I guess this is because of the wording "if you don't" which usually gives only two choices, but I don't have a better wording for it yet.
Alternatively, the other option only presents two choices. The downside is that if you can't cast the top card of your library, you'll have bin it.
BTW There's a separate discussion on the storyline / world building, right?
@EnvyReaper We haven't really talked about it, nothing explicitly important for the story so far (it's not a set about a war or anything like Khans of Tarkir would be for instance), which means you can do as you please ^^
@LyndonF There is a separate discussion ^^ For now, if there's not too much activity at once, we can also discuss the story here actually.
@envyreaper If you have thoughts that you want to post after you’ve already posted, please just edit the first post to include them. Also please stop with the zalgo text, it’s somewhat obnoxious to look at.

@EnvyReaper Well, there aren't really any characteristic that would make me say a map is better than another at this point, so I think this one looks cool ^^
@MTG_Sappy The threshold thing at the end is quite interesting (it would need a rewording though), I like it ^^
1. Whenever you a source you don't control causes you to lose life, do you always lose Psylian Life first and "normal life" second, or does the sources controller choose?
2. When paying life as part of the cost of a spell or ability, do you get to choose to spend Psylian and/or "normal" life?
3. Would this trigger wording work? Whenever you pay psylian life to add mana for the first time each turn,...
@EnvyReaper Yes, Faiths_Guide makes a point, the first page is so old it's not up to date and I can't even update it anymore so don't trust it too much
@Faiths_Guide 1 &2) Because of the very interaction you mentioned in your second point, I quickly realised that functionality was worth the complexity in this case. So the rules I'm currently using to playtest psylian life is that the controller of the source that makes you lose life chooses what type of life you lose first. This doesn't allow you to lose a mix of both types of life but I don't think it would be worth the complexity. So you can pay non-psylian life even if you have psylian life as long as you control whatever makes you pay life.
3) That would work! Remember that players can pay psylian life even if they have nothing to do with the mana though. It's one of the combos with Elated.
So, if a spell or ability you control requires you pay more than 1 life and you only have 1 Psylian life, you'd have to use normal life to pay for it? I don't know if we're reducing or increasing complexity here. If you were forced to always lose Psylian Life first to sources you don't control, and you were able to pay it as part of you life total (in any combination) for spells and abilities you do control, that would seem to be the least complex to me. An opponent is always going to choose Psylian Life first, so why not avoid the "choosing step."
@ningyounk so... you know the Living Art Thing? I have an idea for a cycle of lands that could use it. "Painted Lands"
So all Painted Lands are non-basic double-sided lands which enter the battlefield tapped and can tap to get mana of their singular color, like all regular lands.
HOWEVER, what sets them apart is that all of them have "Living Art 5" (The one where you can pay mana as you play it to transform it). This Living Art ability flips it over into a 4/4 Art minion with a single keyword related to their color (eg. Haste for Red, Vigilance for White.)
And that's my idea. Do you like it or does it seem a little too good?
@Faiths_Guide It's mostly a matter of words count, your version work and in the facts is exactly what should happen. It's just that you can put the first rules in one sentence on the reminder cards ("Whenever a source makes you lose life, its controller chooses what type of life you lose first.") and I think your version would require two separate sentences. But if we find a good way of phrasing it, I'm all for it ^^ It's true the choosing step could be a problem, if we think digital, having to make a choice by clicking whenever a creature deals combat damage to an opponent with psylian life is a big no-no.
Here are some tries:
"You always lose psylian life first unless you control the source that makes you lose life." "Sources you don't control always make you lose psylian life first. " "You always pay non-psylian life first. Otherwise, you always lose psylian life first."
@Potato13 I think the idea is good, it's reminiscent of the Manlands from Zendikar ^^ Your idea is inherently more powerful but that can be balanced by other knobs (colour produced by the land side, actvation cost, size of the creatures, etc.) For this set though, the living art aspect is going to be represented by the mechanic "Masterwork" in the end (Living Art was one out of three candidates for this mechanic slot by got pushed apart for both gameplay and deck building reasons). This means we won't have double-faced cards.

A quick google search is typically all it takes.
