  @ErinsCards I'm not sure what advice I could give to you here, but thanks for sending me the link to your new set anyways! I always felt "chroma" was just like "devotion to", sooo.... yeah. I like devotion, idk if it will ever make a come back in standard, we will see.

  @Faiths_Guide I did! That being said, I feel that it'll be too easy to bring a 10/10 beater into a 0/10 every turn which is just... no fun for agro.

  Unrelated, I know this doesn't really fit the them you're going for, but I just made a new Efreet:
  
  I think he's pretty unique, which I'm very happy about.

  Might this work as a black mechanic:
  
  Linger (You may cast this creature card from your graveyard. If you do, target opponent draws a card.)
  
  The monster just keeps on coming back to haunt your opponent, but grants them card advantage as well. The black cards can also then have a discard theme to get rid of those cards you allowed your opponent to draw.
