One-liners [contest]
"I'll be back" "Get to the choppa!" "PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN!"
Ok I'm actually not referring to Arnold's one-liners of the 80's.
But rather one-liners like these:
What does these have in common? One sentence. These cards does one sentence of effect.
That is what this contest is about. One-liner cards.
So cards like these are not allowed.
What if the card has some special cast requirement. (One of these is allowed while the other is not. Can you guess which is which?)
Triplicate Spirits has convoke which is a mechanical part of the spell so this is not allowed
Spectral Procession has "hybrid" cost but it is not a mechanical part of the card. Only the reminder text is in the text box and reminder text is not a mechanical part of the card. This card is allowed
We are almost finished looking at cards but there is one condition left (that I can think of) that has not been mentioned yet.
This card is technically only one sentence but with two commas so it should be allowed right?
Well the name of this contest is "one-Liner spell contest" not "one sentence spell contest"
Now imagine that you are playing magic against Arnold Schwarzenegger and he plays "Day of Judgement" with a red glowing terminator eye.
Ok probably more terrifying than simply cool but you get my idea.
Now image the same scenario but this time Arnold plays "Plagiarize" and he explains the card. Is it still cool?
No wait. Let me rephrase that. You are very naive, oblivious, silly and too young to know Arnold's from his films. And he wears a chicken suit. A pink chicken suit. While listening to popular songs by someone you don't like.
Still as cool? Not really right? (Ok maybe but lets be ignorant for just a short moment ok?)
Even though Plagiarize is one sentence it will not be allowed because, screw those commas for making Arnold not as cool.
How about singular commas?
... Sure but only because Arnold says so.
Creatures?
No. They need more information than just their abilities. No enchantments nor land. Planeswalkers are also out.

Considering making this 4cmc... not sure yet.
I managed to sneak a Schwarzenegger quote into the flavor text.

My entry. For any who have faced the darkness, always remember... The Dawn will come, and banish it with light.
Sorry for the lack of a picture; I can't seem to figure out how to do it. :-)

I have a document file with the correct stuff saved, I just copy paste it whenever I want to show off a card, then copy the correct information into the slots. (address of the card, and it's image.)
