But peace still came! challenge (The Corpse's Bride)
Hello fellow cardsmiths, I wanted to wait to host my "Moral of the story" challenge. However I felt inspired to post a short five day challenge, asking people to make a card themed off the following quote from "The Corpse's Bride". Don't worry about fitting the quote on your card though.
"What is this, a painful twist, is this a bitter kiss?
There’s so much life left in his eyes, it should not end like this.
My dreams were slain, my face was stained with memories of my pain!
But peace still came, I'll give him the same, and I will be okay."

Now onto the summary of The Corpse's Bride for context.
Victor and Victoria's families have arranged their marriage. Though they like each other, Victor is nervous about the ceremony. While he's in a forest practicing his lines for the wedding, a tree branch becomes a hand that drags him to the land of the dead. It belongs to Emily, who was murdered after eloping with her love and wants to marry Victor. Victor must get back aboveground before Victoria marries the villainous Barkis Bittern.
