Custom Creature Type Contest

When I began creating contests there was always one contest that I had on my mind and wanted to explore.
That contest is custom made creature types.
I assume that most of us when creating cards also create entire worlds and with it new races and types of creatures.

The purpose here is not for people to create new creature types for this contest but rather display those already created.
However if anyone feels like and have the time to create a creature type for this contest it is of course allowed and even encouraged to do so.

Clarification: With "creature type" I mean main creature type such as human, elf, angel, dragon, imp etc. Not secondary creature types or "jobs" such as soldier, cleric, wizard, warrior etc.
Second Clarification: The creature types must be your own. So no Valkyries, Titans etc. You can however have a special variation of already "existing" ones or something based on "existing" ones.

Rules
*Up to 3 different creature types are allowed.
*For each creature type you need a minimum of 3 corresponding cards but a maximum of 7. (You need at least 3 cards of the creature directly. Any more cards can be associated support cards and such.)
*Old cards are allowed (of course)
*Cards can be edited, changed and/or removed before the deadline.

*When submitting a creature type you should give the following information about that specific creature type. (N/A is still information in this contest and can be used for points not applicable.)
- Description: Introduce your creature. What is your creature? Lore?
- Appearance: How does it look like unless not clear by the cards. Does it even have form?
- Characteristics How does it behave? What is their way of life or are they more like mindless slaves?
- Worlds: Where does these creatures exists? A single plane? Which plane(s)? Are they common through the universe or do they not have a place to call home at all?
- Colors: Which colors are associated with the creature? Main colors and secondary colors. Are there any rare exceptions?
- Mechanics: Do they have a common keyword or other mechanic? (Like flying for angels and dragons or resurrection for skeletons)?
- Miscellaneous: Is there anything else special about your creature?

Judging
The judging will be mainly based on the qualities of the creature type such as:
*Originality
*Depth/history
*Flavor
*How interesting they are
*General quality

Also the associated cards will be adding to the judging. So picking better cards is recommended. However more cards are not necessarily better than fewer so pick those cards that you feel represents the creature type the best.

Prizes
Prizes depends on the amount of entries since I have no idea of how many entries this contest will gather.

1st place (7 or more entries): 3 faves of your choice and an fave for three entry cards. (6 in total)
2nd place (4 - 6 entries): 2 faves of your choice and an fave for three entry cards (5 in total)
3rd place (3 or less entries) 2 faves of your choice and an fave for two entry cards (4 in total)
Honorable mentions (10 or more entries): an fave for two entry cards (2 in total)

So more entries give more people prizes and better prizes.
Entry faves are chosen by me.

Deadline is 18 of January

Good luck smithing! (or digging through the created card collection)

    Example entry - Sahkin

    imageimage
I am reworking many older cards. Will post them here when done.

    - Description: Some call them sand ghosts. Some call them shadows of the false sun as they don't cast shadows from the real sun. You must be lucky to ever see one and survive to tell the tale. There are mainly two types of Sahkin. The most common one is the returned one or the lesser Sahkin. These are kind of like zombies where the soul have been trapped in a prison of mist. A mist that corrupts the hosts and makes him or her to a mindless puppet to their leaders. In a way corrupted zombie spirits. The leading "families" or prime Sahkin is the other. These are mostly unknown as they are not returned. They are not corrupted. They are believed to have been created by solidification of corruption. Some believe them to have been created by the third celestial descendant Zulkaorom. The lesser Sahkin does not have a mind of their own but the prime Sahkin have something that resembles a mind.

    - Appearance: The lesser Sahkin have an appearance that resembles the body they were resurrected from but corrupted so they can have many appearances. Some are almost solid while others almost have no body at all and are now mostly corrupted souls.
    - Characteristics: Mostly unknown but very dangerous for almost any living being.
    - Worlds: Heventos
    - Colors: White and Black.
    - Mechanics: Shroud. Just as it is natural for a dragon to fly it is natural for for the Sahkin to be "untouchable", both by magic and the light from the sun. -X/-X effects are also fairly common.
    - Miscellaneous: When the Sahkin first appeared in Safyron many of the leading Saffiran houses fled east leaving the empire defenseless. It was during this time when the Romarin, Romosir, his two younger brothers and their followers appeared and saved the land from certain destruction. At least for a time.

    Second example - Sontai

    image image image

    - Description: A small but very old faction that works on paper as advisors for the human emperor. Behind the scenes however they more or less control the emperor and with him the entire empire.
    - Appearance: Humanoid beings that looks quite similar to humans but more like high elves from LOTR. They all have glowing eyes, some slight glowing and other having heavily glowing eyes. Mostly blue eyes but they can also have other colors. Their hair is naturally white.
    - Characteristics: Sontai see themselves as far more intelligent than humans as humans live for so short time while Sontai can live for thousands of years. Also they are naturally far better spell casters. They are very prideful but in a traditional sense. They see humans as we historically have seen cats and dogs, without the play and fun. They see humans as tools, as servants to fill a role and provide for the Sontai which in turn keeps peach and order among humans. They are the big brother.
    - Worlds: Kewanai
    - Colors: Main color: Blue followed by white and black but also a little green. Red is completely against everything that Sontai stands for with the exception of one.
    - Mechanics: Prison and detain effects. Control and order.
  • Sounds fun! If I cook something up I'll enter.

One of the greatest sources of my shame here, (and hailing from my cringey 2016 times, when I didn't appreciate the color pie or proper wording) the Lydawrns were an attempt to create a WB graveyard matters/maindeckable graveyard hate tribe that also rewarded you for hating on your own graveyard in a tribal heavy deck. Looking back on it, the concept was an absolute train wreck, but something I've also wanted to go back and refine, never finding the courage to do so.

Lydawrns are humanoid creatures that take on similar appearances to the species around them, whether it be goblins, humans, or even constructs. Their true shape is unknown besides the fact they are bipedal and usually stand in the range of 5'4" to 5'8". They have an affinity for spiritual magic, utilizing the souls of the dead.

Lydawrns possess two schools of thought on how souls are meant to be used. Some believe that spirits and souls are companions, comrades to be befriended and to aid you of their own free will. The rest believe that a soul is merely nothing more than a tool, a means to an end.

If I were to go back and work on the tribe now with what I know, I'd probably scrap the graveyard hate mechanic and make them more about working on your own graveyard, which is what the cards want you to do anyways. I'd turn them into a self mill/self exile hybrid, and possibly utilize the haunt mechanic or a variant of it for a tribal keyword.

This is also for colonizers s2, please judge the coyts as Tehans are AxNoodle's.

Eons ago, Coyts explored the northern forests after their gods telling them that there was great reward, as long as they never wanted to go back. They travelled for years, until they finally caught sight of something blue and winged flying through the air and something similar just out of the corners of their eyes. they were Tehans, creatures who could use anti-magic. They were descended from the first being of that plane, and had become his legacy.
They lived together for years before a new creature came into the woods, they called them Man, and all three lived in peace. They built great tools and buildings, and even went out looking for more creatures to bring back. But a war started between the men and the Tehans, forcing both to leave the woods to the Coyts.
The Coyts tried to get both groups back into the woods, to continue living how they once did, but that failed. Shortly later, a pond was found, and the Coyt leader, Silorn, drank from it, an saw just a little bit into the future. When his thoughts came back to him, the well was gone.
The Tehans heard about this and came back, shortly before Man came back with weapons. But Silorn knew this would happen, and told his Tehan friend, Thela, to help build a trap that would keep the men from using their magic. A great empty moat was dug around the town, and residual anti-magic was put in it, and the moat was then hidden with snow, hidden from Man's sight. Man fell in to the moat, and found a tunnel leading out of the moat, but far from the forest.
This is how the Coyts and Tehans started the Teoyt pack.
